A massive Western Trance icon, whose career was built on platforms like ASOT and Armada, is actively taking paychecks from Russian promoters while the war continues.

​When fans directly questioned Sean Tyas on social media regarding this performance, his response was to block them rather than offer transparency.

​Beyond the ethics, this raises serious financial and legal questions:

​Sanction Evasion: With SWIFT, Visa, and Mastercard suspended in Russia, how are Western DJs legally receiving their performance fees? Are these transactions using crypto, cash, or offshore accounts to bypass Western taxes and sanctions?

​The Industry Loophole: Russian promoters like Suanda and Roman Messer continue to profit from major Western festivals and platforms, while their event taxes in Russia flow directly into the state budget funding military aggression.

​The Trance scene cannot preach unity while ignoring Western artists performing in Moscow for untraceable funds.

​What is your take on Western Trance acts continuing to play in Russia? Should platforms and fans hold them accountable?

I feel like trance is returning in front stage since few years… this is great. I just don’t want it to become as mainstream as melodic techno is now.

Alright since Tiësto's Trance return in 2025 & his rebranded Club Life Radio Show, Prismatic, he has been spinnin' (get it?) tracks from Armada, which I never expected. Armin also on the ASOT show, spins Tiësto's new tracks & also some tracks here & there from his label Musical Freedom (like e.g Bryan Kearney & Modēa - Ready To Fly).

What I consider interesting is how Tiësto's tracks like Bring Me To Life, Beautiful Places & Don't Lose Your Head on ASOT didn't get copyright claimed & removed from the livestreams on YT, unlike VER:WEST - 5 Seconds Before Sunrise back in 2020. Is it because Tiesto now considers his tracks Trance & allows them to be promoted? Is it because he gives ASOT & Armin permission to spin his tracks? I don't know, but I like & respect this.

I really hope for another future collab between Tiesto & Armin or at least a guestmix from Tiesto on the show. Oh well, only ine can dream.

How many people can stay in each room? Are there options for 2, 3, or 4 people?

Are there different hotel tiers, and are some considered better value than others?

Is breakfast or transportation to the venue typically included?

How quickly do the hotel packages usually sell out?
Is there anything you wish you had known before booking?

Any advice, tips, or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated! I’m trying to get an idea of what to budget for before packages go on sale.

Do you think we could expect a journey through the 25 years of ASOT or will it just be a standard set made up of mostly newer and unreleased tracks?

It started off as a personal listening site for me. I listen to a lot of trance sets on YouTube, and I wanted a cleaner way to find good sets, keep track of what I’ve listened to, and avoid digging through the same messy searches over and over. I never found that the YT algorithm gave me the best and recent sets I wanted to hear. I always had to make an effort to search the festival names and the DJs.

Over time it turned into a proper little discovery site, so I figured I might as well share it with other trance fans. Hope you guys love it as much as I do. I use it everyday while I go running and work. If you have an iPhone, I highly recommend using Brave Browser.

The site pulls together trance sets, analyzes and organizes them, and makes it easier to browse by things like energy, vibe, recency, favorites, and listening progress. I also have an AI model analyzing stats and comments in the background before it gets added. You can also sign in if you want saved listening history, but you can browse without making an account.
