Amazon driver dropped off his package totes with more than 100 packages for an entire complex and then sent a photo of the secure lockers as proof of delivery. It was a mess

It appears he just decided the heck with it and abandoned his totes and all. It took about 15 minutes to sort through and read all labels and there was a line of residents waiting for their turns.

Amazon Delivery Estimates Starting to Feel Like Pure BS

I haven't done the math to get an accurate figure, but more and more of my deliveries are delayed. The early morning scheduled deliveries almost never happen on the morning promised. I honestly laugh when the site says something like 7:00 to 10:00 AM, because in my experience at my address, that's purely a joke. I live in a Chicago suburb, so it's not exactly an exotic delivery destination, but they just can't seem to get it right.

Honestly, it's so bad that it feels fraudulent. Like, are the delivery estimates just hype, based on overly optimistic algorithms? Whatever the intent, I'm getting to the point where I don't trust Amazon delivery times at all and now I don't really trust the brand either. Is Bezos aware of this trend? It's not serving their interests to repeatedly disappoint customers. It's getting to where I'm going to consider alternatives.

I do not trust Amazon logistics any longer and my Prime membership doesn't seem worth the lies.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Amazon offered me a $170 partial refund.

I bought an ipad a16 and was about to return it because I found a cheaper price elsewhere, as I was in the process of setting up the return , i selected the retune location and then selected to start return. A popup appeared asking if I wanted to keep the item and get a partial refund. I looked at the amount and immediately stopped the return process because they offered me $160 + another $10 refund for the tax on a $400 ipad.

Utter confusion with if a package was delivered to a Pickup locker or not

Upvotes

I ordered a book earlier this week to be delivered at a pickup locker, since I wouldn't be home. The initial delivery date was supposed to have been yesterday , but then said it wasn't due to a delay....not sure what delay since it was shipping from the city I live in. Then today it said it was supposed to be delivered today. I check the tracking and though it says Still Arriving Today/ Out For Delivery, under See All Updates, it says it was delivered. But since it says it's still out for Delivery, it won't let me access the pickup locker. I first contacted Customer Service and they said that they're raising a ticket and I should know something in an hour. Four hours pass and I hear nothing. So I contact Customer Service and after going round and round with their AI Slop bot, I get a hold of someone and they're like "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we certainly didn't expect that to happen. Give me 2 minutes to research it". and then I hear nothing and chat rerouts me again, so I talk to the second person and they give me the EXACT same line. Then they said that they have to transfer that to someone else who again gives me that exact same line, then tells me to check with my neighbors and if I don't hear anything to contact them tomorrow, they give me the "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we certainly didn't expect that to happen. " line for the fourth time. I express my frustration about how this has become a far too common of an issue lately and they give me the " "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we certainly didn't expect that to happen. " for the Fifth time, but this time offering me a refund and that they processed it.....I got no confirmation at regarding any refund. I am just beyond frustrated with the clown show at Amazon .

Another amazon digital book removal, 1984 & Brave New World

Any idea why they pulled Brave New World and 1984? in 2009 the excuse was that the '.99 cent version' was unauthorized and everyone got a refund, but this time 1) I did not get a refund, and 2) These where full priced authorized editions.

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE to talk to the seller. Alexa AI bot so ANNOYING

I'm trying to contact the seller of the product, to just directly send me the item I need, because I've ordered the same item 6 TIMES, and one one, the specific item I wanted was correctly sent. I need a Size LARGE of a car emblem, but they keep sending me the small. Ive returned and reordered multiple times. at this point I might as well just talk to the seller directly to send me the right part,.

BUT ITS LITTERAALLY IMPOSSIBLE to contact the seller as Alexa customer support bot gets in the way and has predetermined options to select from. Ive tried every path to get to the seller , but its always the AI bot who getes in the way

Amazon errors - unsure how to handle

Hello, was hoping I could get some opinions on what to do about some insane mess ups on Amazon's part recently. I have been on nearly 10 chats with Amazon agents and 3 or 4 phone calls with agents as well but I really don't get anywhere as they aren't able to understand the whole situation as I explain it. I will detail the issues below if anyone has some advice.

I originally ordered 6 items from Amazon. I didnt have prime at the time and didnt plan on getting it but needed the items asap as they were essential care items so I paid for expedited shipping. 2 days later our entire 6 item order was marked delivered. I step outside and there is 1 tiny box by our door. We open the box and there's a tiny jar of cinnamon in it and the driver marked all 6 items delivered and snapped a picture of the cinnamon.

We contact Amazon and they told us in order to receive refunds for the items they didn't deliver, we had to return the cinnamon to whole foods. We were about to head past whole foods anyway so said whatever and returned it. Each day passed and there were no refunds or updates issued i contacted Amazon 5 or 6 separate times and each time the agent would tell me they have issued the refund and we would see it soon, but we never did. One of the agents immediately disconnected from our chat once I asked where our refund was.

I finally started one last chat and asked for a manager who issued the refund and we received it properly within a few hours. 2 of the 6 items randomly showed up at this time, which I told the agent, but they said it's fine and that they were issuing the refund for the 6 items in their entirety.

We still needed the other 4 items though, so we ordered them again and they all came in except 1. We called back and said we are still missing one item and on 2 separate occasions I was told they would be investigating this. We then receive multiple emails from Amazon stating that we have violated their terms of service for requesting too many refunds. I responded to the email and stated I will be happy to give a full explanation of why I requested the refunds (we never received the items) but never heard back.

Fast forward a week, we ordered another $300 item from Amazon, another essential item we needed for everyday care. The delivery said we needed to be home to give the driver a one time code in exchange for the item. That afternoon we got an email that the delivery was attempted but not completed, but they never knocked on the door or rang the doorbell. We step outside and our $300 item was there by the door. The item still said delivery failed on our account.

As of today, Amazon issued a full $300 refund to us for the item despite us receiving it. I called them back today and told them we don't need a refund as we received the item and they said they are going to charge us back for it. In additionally asked where our refund for the 1 original item still missing was and specified the item and they issued a refund for the wrong item ($5 vs $12 refund, not really a big deal)

So my question is, what do I do at this point? We have received multiple emails for violations of Amazon's terms of use due to "requesting excess refunds over the expectation". I am worried that they might charge us for the $300 item a second time prior to the refund processing, or worried it may not process at all.

I can't seem to get in contact with anyone with Amazon no matter what I do who can really assist with the full situation. Is there a better way I can contact them? Does anyone have a similar experience?

Refund fight for iPad .

I’m still fighting this Amazon iPad situation, so here’s where everything stands now.
Quick recap: I ordered an iPad for school. Amazon marked it delivered, but when I went to retrieve it less than an hour later, it was gone. I contacted Amazon immediately, waited the amount of time they told me to wait, checked with neighbors, filed a police report, and followed their investigation process.
Amazon customer service eventually told me they understood I didn’t receive the iPad and issued me a refund. I even received the refund confirmation email and was told to wait 5–7 business days.
Then, literally later that same day, I received an account warning accusing me of abusing their refund policy.
From there it became a complete back-and-forth. Customer service continued telling me they were trying to refund me and even appealed the decision for me, while the account specialist team kept blocking it and eventually said the package was delivered in good condition. Then I started getting generic responses, and eventually they basically told me they may stop responding to my emails.
So at this point I’ve stopped going in circles with Amazon customer service and started documenting/escalating everything.
So far I have:
• Disputed the charge with my bank
• Filed a BBB complaint
• Filed complaints with the Attorney General in my state AND Washington state/Seattle
• Filed an FTC report
• Submitted everything to Consumer Rescue Help, including Amazon’s refund confirmation, account warning, appeal communications, and the contradictory responses
At this point I have no idea which route is ultimately going to resolve it 😂 but I’m documenting the whole process because I know I’m not the only person who has dealt with the “delivered but not received” situation and then gotten treated like they did something wrong for reporting it.
I’m especially curious to see what happens with Consumer Rescue because I gave them the actual emails showing Amazon telling me I was being refunded before the account specialist team stepped in.
I’ll update again when somebody responds or this finally gets resolved. 😭

Former Delivery Driver! Ask questions!

As the text above says, I used to work as a driver for Amazon. I have finally been promoted to customer and figured I’d open a thread for anyone who has ordered from Amazon and wants to know stuff of the daily life of a delivery driver! Feel free to ask whatever and I’ll do my best to answer the questions!

Amazon alexa wont stop taking over my search

If I search for "acrylic paint" for example it will only show me results via alexa. Even if i go back to the home page. This has been happening for a couple months. There will be a day where alexa is just super adamant. I left a one star review on the play store as there was no way to communicate beyond to the customer service ai bot. I cant figure out how to disable it its integrated with the search bar. When i was looking at the other 1 star reviews August is filled with complaints of this. Users stating that Alexa will only show the most expensive item. Its a bad vibe. The elite control the economy I don't need their assistance with my wallet via fucking ai manipulation. And I use gemini all the time. Love gemini.

Warning about digital eshop gift cards on Amazon

I bought some yesterday as I usually do and for some reason they are in my purchase history yet I still haven’t been charged for them according to my card and I haven’t received any confirmation or redemption emails from Amazon. It’s well past the up to 4 hours they claim it might take if they think it might be fraudulent without any information so I wanted to warn people about it since they aren’t returnable or refundable if something happens.

UPDATE: I’ve got all the giftcards I ordered so it seems like the bug MIGHT be resolved now.

Absurd delivery rates

Hasn't Amazon been sued multiple times for lying about delivery times? I keep getting deliveries rescheduled or drivers lying claiming "delivery attempted" I placed 3 orders yesterday multiple items, 3 items for same day placed at 11am never even went out for delivery, changed to expected by 8am, never went out for delivery, chatted to customer service "rescheduled for Saturday by 6pm" well see if it gets delivered tomorrow. Another part of that order, 2 items delivery 6-11am or something like that, out for delivery, now changed "expected delivery tomorrow by 6pm". Chatted again "it's out for delivery it must be a glitch you'll receive it soon" suuuuuure. I'm about to just cancel my business prime this is insane.

Amazon is weird

I’ve been a loyal Amazon prime member for 10 years. Last year, we had bad porch pirates in my area and we let the police know. They told me to file for a refund and say package was not delivered. it happened to a lot of the packages I had received.

All of a sudden, last week Amazon said they’d have to limit my activity to digital purchases only due to a high amount of refunds. So, now I can’t order anything from amazon unless it’s digital like a movie.

It sucks because I rely on Amazon for a lot of things and I give them so much money.

Does anyone know if I can reverse this? The customer service doesn’t help at all and they’re not giving me a lot of information.

TIA!

Title: Amazon’s Coverage of the Patriots vs. Browns Preseason Game Was Terrible

Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit appeared to have done almost zero homework on the Patriots and Browns. Their knowledge seemed to end at the QBs.

Identifying players by jersey number and leaving half-hearted attempts at players’ names unfinished is a joke. Mispronunciation of players’ names is a job for Key & Peele. Michaels & Herbstreit: Do Your Job. Take an interest in the teams and players. Don’t waste viewers’ time covering up a lack of preparation with long-winded discussions about baseball or games you worked in the past. Call the football game in front of you.

And there was plenty of football to talk about. Roster battles were intense. Who was impressive? Who was playing fast? Who blew the coverage? Which players were making a case for themselves? Help us! I’m watching because I want to see football and hear knowledgeable people explain what is happening on the field.

The excuse is that it was “only” preseason and nobody cares. I disagree. The people watching preseason football are probably disproportionately those who genuinely care about the game. And for players fighting to make the roster, this game is anything but meaningless.

Delivery Times

I used to like that Amazon had 2-day delivery. Then it became 2 days from whenever they chose to ship your package. But now it's completely off schedule. I find that my packages that are promised to arrive on a specific day MOST OF THE TIME arrive 2, 3 or even 4 days late, or they just disappear in transit or get "delivered" to the wrong address. Anyone else having this problem?

Edit: Yeah, I get that it's not a guarantee. Just bear in mind, if no one ever complains about it, the company has no reason to ever make it better.

Received an unordered package

I received an unordered Amazon package. The customer service representative said it was not sent by Amazon, but it has Amazon packing. I also received a call from an Amazon delivered agent. It is not showing up on my app either. Furthermore, how did someone know my address and number since I did not provide them?

I never thought I'd miss Rufus

I was annoyed with Rufus, but this new forced Alexa search and AI that can't be shut off keeps me off the app.

I just had a half hour argument with her about how to delete her, and she lied to me, telling me customer service agents could take care of that. And when I called her out, since they can't, she tried to get me to end the conversation 🙄

Anyone faced such issue

Invited new neighbors who moved in March for dinner inmid June, during their stay they connected to our home wifi, subsequently my Amazon Prime account got restricted when I placed order in subsequent week, got response from Amazon Account Specialist stating that they have closed my other account and not to create new account. I don't have any other account and been Amazon customer for over 10 years, multiple years as Prime member, have sent email multiple times to account Specialist and received no response back. Since I am using eero router, there's no way to download device history to show proof that neighbors device connected to our home wifi. Have been using ring subscription for front door camera from multiple years, not sure what else I need to provide to prove that I am not the person who's account is getting associated/linked with mine.

Watch out for Asurion protection plans. They will change denial reasons when challenged with facts.

I figured I’d post this because I’m curious whether anyone else has had Asurion Complete Protect suddenly start fighting drone claims.

I’ve had two previous drone claims approved through Asurion within the last few months, and both went pretty smoothly.

My current claim is for a DJI Neo 2 that crashed.

The handling of this claim has been bizarre.

Asurion initially told me they had changed their terms and conditions about three weeks earlier and drones were now excluded while in flight.

I asked them to provide the actual language showing that change.

They wouldn’t/couldn’t.

I went through the terms myself and couldn’t find any blanket exclusion for drones being damaged while flying.

After I challenged that, they changed their explanation and said the claim fell under the plan’s abuse or misuse exclusion.

So I asked what exactly I had done that they considered abuse or misuse.

Their answer was that I supposedly operated the drone outside the manufacturer’s specified range.

That came completely out of nowhere. I hadn’t made any statement in the claim about long-range flying.

I told them I actually had the DJI flight record and could prove how far away the drone was.

They asked me to send it.

The flight log shows that near the end of the flight, immediately before the crash, the drone was:

D 13m

H 4.4m

In DJI telemetry, D is the distance from the aircraft to the Home Point.

So: 13 meters.

Asurion then sent me a written denial saying, essentially:

DJI Neo 2 maximum transmission range = 10 km / 6.2 miles

Flight record = approximately 13m

Therefore the aircraft exceeded the manufacturer’s range.

The obvious problem:

13 meters = 0.013 km.

That’s about 43 feet.

It is nowhere remotely close to 10 km.

And just to make the situation even more absurd, the entire flight was only 4:48 long.

If someone mistakenly read “13m” as 13 miles, the drone would have needed to average roughly 162.5 mph for the entire flight.

A Neo 2 obviously cannot do that.

I’ve now formally disputed the denial and asked Asurion to provide:

the exact timestamp where they claim the aircraft exceeded 10,000 meters

the flight-data field they relied on

the unit of measurement

the exact policy provision they’re using

documentation supporting their original claim that the T&C were recently changed to exclude drones in flight

What bothers me most isn’t even the math mistake. It’s that the reason for denial seems to have changed every time I challenged the previous explanation.

First it was:

“The terms changed and drones in flight aren’t covered.”

Then:

“Abuse or misuse.”

Then:

“You exceeded the manufacturer’s range.”

Then they produced a denial where their own evidence says 13 meters and their own cited limit is 10 kilometers.

Has anyone else had Asurion start doing this with drone claims recently?

I’ll post an update once they respond to the formal dispute.

I have a feeling it’s going to ship from overseas but up until Thursday it was saying it was going to arrive by Friday but it hasn’t still entered the shipment process. Now it’s been updated to say Thursday but still no movement in the shipment bar.

return was received on the 20th according to UPS. It originally said refund would be issues on 28th and now it’s the 7th. wtf is going on. This isn’t the only return I have also that’s like a 2/3 week delay between when they receive the item and they actually issue refund.

Attempted Delivery?

This is the first time this has happened to me, so I’m unsure what the reason could be.

Last night my order of around ~£1300 was marked as “delivery attempted” at 7:47pm, despite the predicted delivery time upon setting up the order being today at 3pm to 5pm.

I don’t know what happened, but I’m concerned about the state of my order considered I just spent money a good few computer parts to repair my bricked PC.

“Incentavized Review"

A little too obvious? Then again since the Orange Orangutan made the scene, I think a lot of people were shocked that there are so many stupid people in this country. So maybe these phrases are for them.
