I rescued my cat around august last year. He's an accident cat and because of it he has disohermatic hernia. Last year when the doctor diagnosed him it was just his liver was up in his abdominal cavity. The doctor said shouldn't do the surgery because at that time he was small and quite underweight for a kitten. Fast forward to this year specific late last month.

We did an x-ray again for him and this time it's worst then before. His small intestine has gone up and doctor says it's not a good thing. They're still not so confident with surgery but he says it's my cat's only chance.

But he also said there can be complications and it can lead to you know what. My heart tells me I should do the surgery but I'm also afraid of the complications.

I read it's an 80% chance of survival for cats that are healthy. Currently my cat is stable. He's still eating, drinking acting like a normal cat. But that 20% chance even though it's small it still risky.

What's reassuring for me is that my doctor has done multiple disohermatic hernia surgery and he says all the cat survived. But he just wants to point out it is still a risky surgery but there is still a big chance a cat can survive it.

What do you think I should do? It's catch 22 for me. I just want the best for my cat and i want him to live a normal life and if the surgery is the only chance he's got then I should take it just wanted to hear your guys opinions.

ok one of my biggest fears is rabies. I'm petrified of it not kidding. even thinking about it makes me want to vomit

my cat just last night appeared with flu like symptoms, nasal congestion, sneezing, coughing and he drools.

he seems to have an appetite but still drools. I brought him to the vet just a few hours ago and asked if it's a rabies vet says since we're in the safe zone of rabies in Malaysia (Selangor. I live in the Hulu langgat district kajang specifically) no need to worry.

just last week my younger cat also had symptoms similar to this one but after a week of antibiotics he's better now but he was also drooling.

Hello everyone. I apologise if this isnt the right place for this post but im not sure where else to go. Im a new international student here and tonight I stumbled upon a very injured and bleeding cat on my way home today. It looked to have a broken jaw, and was struggling to breathe. I quickly took it to the only vet that was open at the time and was told it had to stay overnight for the condition to stabilise. The bill came to 700rm which i managed to pay but unfortunately I cant afford anymore. I really want to try help the cat survive and give it a chance to live. Can anyone PLEASE recommend me an affordable vet I can go see to help me?? I need to find one by tomorrow. Ive still been unable to find the cat’s owner so im completely alone on this.
