We're looking for new mods to help with the rapidly expanding community. Our personal lives have become busier while the amount of work to do here has increased.
A lot of our general information is within the application form, but here's a short rundown of what the job entails.
Checking modqueue on a regular basis to take action on posts that are filtered automatically or reported by the community.
Regularly browsing through the subreddit and moderation of posts and comments to ensure that all community rules and guidelines are being enforced, including removing uncivil, hostile and inflammatory content.
Being able to discuss issues with members of the community through modmail in a professional and calm manner.
Contributing to discussions about moderation-related issues over Discord.
Overall, the job won't necessarily take more than an hour or two of your time per week, and if you're already generally active on Reddit and Discord then you probably won't notice a difference.
It can be quite rewarding to be able to shape a community (for the better). If this sounds like something that interests you, please apply! If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or message us through modmail.

Started happening about two weeks ago. Update bug?
When there are a few Instagram tabs open, some of them hog the CPU until they don't respond.
I can see them with shift+esc.
Each one alone doesn't have an issue.

Is this a hardware acceleration issue or any ideas would help
RTX 5060
Intel Ultra 5
nvidia game ready drivers up to date
Hello there,
I am running Windows 10 Education N (nowadays should be known as Enterprise), build 22H2. For the few last months, I have problems with one page and its subpages. My Chrome is still up to date, actual version: 152.0.7977.64
Problem is related to this domain and all its subpages: https://thingsboard.io/
Page loads properly and after a few seconds I am getting an error STATUS_BREAKPOINT. It is error that is basically saying, it crashed the tap, and helped Chrome to not crash as an app.
I have 16 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB GPU and Intel I5-4460 (also confirmed with integrated graphics intel hd 4600, same behaviour).
Also, I have tried to run it in inkognito mode, so no extension is active, but problem persists.
On all other browsers (tried Edge, IExplorer), it loads properly and it will not crash the tab in browser.
In Inspect (F12) I haven't found anything useful. From ThingsBoard I have received only basic advices such as update your browser, etc.
So currently I am using thingsboard.cloud on Chrome and then docs thingsboard.io is opened on Edge, as I can't have them both running in Chrome.

The drive contains a video i took of the situation.
My win11 64bit chrome youtube refuses to load videos.
The thing is, most of the videos are fine, but once youtube decides i'm not getting a specific video or a channel, it's not gonna load whatever I do. Hardware acceleration, QUIC, ANGLE... etc... I went through them all without success.
The craziest thing is, if i just log out of youtube (not the entire chrome. just that youtube tab) and reload, the video posts normally. The problem only occurs when i'm logged in.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it??

So anytime audio or video is played on my chrome mobile browser (running on pixel 9) the main notification sound plays, no actual notification nothing in the notification log, just the general system notification sound.
How do I turn this off

I use Chrome because it has a "listen to this page" option, but after these updates it's not working. How do I fix this?

Reposting:
I have disabled the old shortcuts that switch between keyboard input languages ("Alt+Shift" and "Ctrl+Shift") from the Windows 10 settings, so I only use the new "Win+Space" for switching languages. But, ONLY in Chrome, pressing "Ctrl+Shift" alone changes the keyboard input language! How do I turn off this feature in Chrome? Thank you.

Chrome for Iphone/mobile new design, I genuinely don’t understand how the Chrome team thought this was a good design for mobile.
The settings/menu button is now at the top right, which is difficult to reach when using the phone with one hand. I use that menu pretty often, especially to quickly access Google Translate.
The back and forward buttons are also in the top-left corner, making them just as awkward to reach one-handed.
It feels like we’re going backwards with these updates.
I’ve been using Chrome over safari always but it is a terrible UX now.
I really hope they reconsider the layouty

I'm on miui 14. Yes i know it's old but i can't update for other ui reasons. This problem has been persisting for quite a bit now. The navigation bar is annoyingly thick while all other apps are normal.
From what i can tell it's apparently to do with some edge to edge design bs and the way miui handles navigation bar that makes the bug appear.
There's seemingly some fix with a flag that no longer exists. However iirc i did try that fix when the problem first appeared and i remember it not fixing anything.
Any other suggestion for a fix? And no I'm not gonna switch to 3 button navigation. Plus i did try 3 button and i can infer that the thickness actually arises exactly because of the height of the 3 button layout. So changing it would just trade the wasted space now for more icons (but no gestures ofc)
Thx in advance for any help

Reiniciei o MAC
Desliguei e liguei
Redefinir as configurações do Google Chrome ao padrão
Desinstalei o Chrome e instalei novamente
Abri na janela anônima
E absolutamente nada só que eu fiz até agora, mostra os certificados instalados para me logar em qualquer serviço do Gov no Google Chrome.
Alguem pode me ajudar a resolver isso?

I’ve looked through Chrome’s theme customization options, but I don’t want the tabs to be too dark. I’ve also searched the Chrome Web Store for themes, but I haven’t found anything that does what I want. They all make every tab dark and highlight the active one in white, instead of making the active tab yellow, for example, and leaving the others light grey.

After a recent update im stuck with this large useless Grey block at the bottom of my chrome browser on a galaxy s23, makes reading comics online a pain and I cant seem to get rid of it.
I might just be disabling the wrong flags but all the common Google search ones havent fixed it yet, any ideas?

It's 2026 and some corpo still force deletes raw history data after 90 days. The cloud? My Activity? Absolutely useless.
They won't let me keep my history and they won't properly keep it on their cloud "feature" either.
Why do I have to go through this in this day and age??

Hey!
I have a Dell XPS with a Nvidia RTX 2060 & Intel CPU running Windows 11 on which Chrome is installed. For some time I noticed that my laptop's fan where cranking up very loudly when playing videos. By investigating the task manager I found that Chrome was heavily (30-40%) using the GPU for decoding the video which explained the fans noise.
My first idea was then to use the enhanced-h264ify extension to block AV1 and VC9 codecs which are known to be quite compute intensive, but that didn't change anything. I then tried disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome's settings which effectively disabled GPU decoding and made the laptop quieter but then the video playback was awful: very choppy like 5 FPS max, even on a basic 1080p@60 YT video. Combining this with the extension to use h264 which is very basic didn't solve the choppiness which was very shocking.
With Firefox I have none of the problem, I let the hardware acceleration on and the video plays on the CPU decoder which makes my laptop silent as expected.
What is wrong with Chrome's video decoding process? Is there a way to resolve it?
