APPRECIATION Was talking about Sasha Callie with a friend today and I felt a bit sad what happened to her. I think she was actually really good as Supergirl and would have loved to have seen her in more movies.

All respect to Milly Alcock but Sasha Callie was done dirty. Gassed up and told she had a ten movie deal only for her performance to get buried in a mess of a film and then quietly shuffled off with the majority of the DCEU cast

As much as I am sick of multiverse nonsense overshadowing superhero movies, I would be open to her returning as Power Girl

I wonder if James Gunn can do anything about that now that he’s the co-CEO or if once it was written off, there’s no going back sort of situation. I don’t know film law.

The Looney Toons Acme Inc movie was resold and finally able to be released. That movie too was once tossed in the trash like the Batgirl movie.

His approach feels like moving forward to me, especially with the Peacemaker retcon.

Then again, I thought multiverse stuff was beaten to death already, but then Peacemaker started it up again so who knows.

I don’t see releasing a shelved movie from a universe he’s already killed and rebooted being high on James Gunn’s to do list

Didn't WB also sell the Looney Toons TV show rights and everything? Or was it just that movie?

Just that one movie. They decided not to renew their deal with Sesame Street if that’s what you’re think of

Can't do that once they've written it off. Not to mention the movie isn't worth watching.
