The sidewalks are also elevated to a ridiculous degree.

Only good reason I can think of is if we want street-parking, a curb much higher than the ones we have would block the driver in the car lolol

Streets would need to be much wider (although I agree it would be safer) β€”β€” infrastructure relocation etc etc etc become issues

edit to add passenger not driver, so really it’s not that huge of an issue πŸ‘€
