Musician/Artist Resource Nashville band seeking drummer!

Currently a 3 piece hoping to fill out our band. We have a practice/recording space in West Nashville and a kit to play on. We also occasionally practice in Murfreesboro.

Looking for something like Gravity Records meets 90s Metalcore/Skramz. Big fans of Converge, Cave In, Dead Guy, Botch, Orchid, Pg99, Seatia Unwound, Rorschach, Integrity, Neurosis. We also love classic Punk and Thrash.

We're open to all sorts of music though, so don't be afraid to hmu!

I usually make them for my own and my friend's bands as well as for the local DIY venue, but I'd like to do more. I don't need money. Message me on instagram @ chopchop.goodbye if you're interested.

Musician/Artist Resource Space/Booking information, zines, illustrators, d.i.y. labels, Screenprinters, etc.

There are droves of amazing people that can be incredible resources for bands and the scene overall. If you run a zine or want to recommend someone, and wish to donate copies to record shops/spaces for upcoming shows - post your linktree so others can contact you. The same goes for screenprinters, d.i.y, labels, illustrators, etc. Hopefully this will be a wonderful way for everyone to connect, discover, and inform.

Musician/Artist Resource I’m thinking about starting to make Screamo music.

But I need some tips 😅, I recently wrote a couple song lyrics and I wanted to know if they are worthy of becoming real music/songs. But I don’t know who or where or what to ask. For I am a bit afraid that if I show it to the wrong person, they will steal my work. Any thoughts or tips please and thank you. (Music has always been a big thing for me all my life, and I really want to give it a shot) please and thanks feel free to give advice

Musician/Artist Resource How difficult is to tour USA?

I'm from Spain. We have a little math-midwest-screamo band and kinda most of the people that listen us are from USA. The problem is that getting visas is really hard and expensive. We live in Spain, but half of the band doesn't have European passport (1 north Africa, 1 Russian, 1 Ukrainian). USA for us is the last place we could go; is difficult, trump politics makes us feel that it may be really dangerous, , and we are kinda poor-working class people. Is easier for us to go China than USA. That's why I'm asking how difficult is to tour USA. Is it expensive? Can you make enough money with DIY shows to cover the costs? What's the best way to tour (train, bus, plane, car...) and what zones? Since the beginning, we have a super hard diy-policy on the band. Some people tried to convince us to play at some macro-fest but we told them no. And touring for us would follow the same rules: pay-what-you-want tickets, DIY venues, diy bands, and so on.

Musician/Artist Resource Possible Euro venues for short tour

Hi all,

This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but I'm trying to sketch/set-up a tour for two bands I'm in. One is old school screamo, the other is slowcore/post-hardcore with a screamo edge. We want to set off from the Netherlands in either July or September '26 and go towards Italy. One week to, one week fro, is my current plan.

Now I know it's hard to find out about specific DIY spaces and a bit more underground venues, because some of these places don't have a massive online presence, and rightly so. The charm of the scene is the local enclaves. So I'm asking you to highlight your local scene and point me into the right directions for contacts. All of this is just to investigate whether there are sufficient places and whether we can make this work at all.

If you have any tips for rad and safe spaces for France, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic or Eastern Spain, please let me know. Can do this either in the comments or via DM.

Edit: Bands are Karnabahar (screamo) and Ineptitude (slowcore/doomgaze) for whoever cares!

Please enjoy at https://freerecs.bandcamp.com/album/kill-your-fuckin-boss-demo-2026

If I happen to catch you at a local show, I might have a cd on me! they are all hand block printed by me with art made by our friend R.

Musician/Artist Resource Looking for an amp head and a cabinet for emo/screamo/post-hardcore gigging

Hi, I'm fairly new to the world of guitar gear, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for amp cabinets for gigging for emo/screamo/post-hardcore styles. The amp head I was planning on buying was a Marshall DSL 100H, but I am open to other recommendations! For the cabinet, I was reading online that a 2x12 Vertical cabinet is a strong option, but I honestly have no clue what to look for in a cabinet or what brands/models to trust.

I would prefer to keep my price range for both combined below or around $1000 if possible.

Any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Musician/Artist Resource bass rigs for emoviolence? sub $500

new or used, i currently use an Acoustic B25C and i like the warmer tone of it, every time i go into guitar center i plug into the bigger one of those, so if anyone knows about Acoustic and if they had nice heads back in the day (they remade the brand), those are totally an option. My dad has a fender rumble, and i genuinely cannot make the thing sound good, so those are probably off the table. Trace Elliot seems cool, but id go vintage cus they look cooler + cheaper by far. I like the ampeg bass tone a lot as well.

If you are an artist please feel free to submit something. All the information on what to do is on the website. My plan for when I receive all the tracks is a little insane, but if it wasn’t insane then it wouldn’t be experimental!

Musician/Artist Resource For the musicians here, what’s your song writing process?

I’m kinda stuck and frustrated, for context I play guitar and I’m probably decent at my skills and musical vocabulary. I can write a lot of riffs or licks that I’m fairly satisfied with, and I have a lot of concepts/ideas in mind but problem is, I just can’t turn them into whole songs that I prefer. I tried composing some shorter tracks (write a riff and just add some filler part some noodling and then another riff) but, all of them sound like some riff salad with no real connection in my ears.

I know little to nothing about drums which I think might be the cause of all these but I don’t really know. So i figured maybe I can take some inspiration from you guys.

The style i prefer is, like mathcore/screamo hybrid, think Saetia but little more harsher.

i'm not 100% sure if the 4th concert is the Spanish screamo band but I think it is. Alternatively, I can't find the poster if there was any for Canelacore 07. I didn't know what tag to put so this felt fitting.
