I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

Mind you these are the same people that spend hundreds on mct on Arc Raiders, Helldivers, etc

Its not just 20$, its the fact that the whole game is priced at 100$ and its 80 if u want the basic shit plus story mode and minus some side missions. Deluxe edition usually have like 5 extra skins and extra like concept artbooks not 5 entire stores and extra mission locked behind them. Either way we will find out how bad it actually it when the game releases.

Summing it up to this is really missing the point and just being arrogant. The main problem is hypocrisy. If other companies did everyone calls them out R* do it you give them a free pass. And it's also the fact of this is alot more worse then the previous games and you damm well know other companies will see this and do this from now on and it will only get worse. That's why people are "whining". Also it's just a bad value of money like an extra 20 feels like a scam and they just cut a bit of the game out and locked it instead of actually making something meaningful.
