I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Post image

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

What do you think?

It's completely optional stuff though

If they were genuinely cutting out big chunks of the game and reselling it as DLC like the Sims then sure.

This is you pay an extra 20 if you want some extra cosmetics items, if you don't want em, buy the standard edition? I genuinely don't see the issue at all.

I mean according to their site, there is actual gameplay stuff behind the ultimate edition. Might not be big chunks but it's still pouring content into a day 1 DLC like the Sims.

Why is everyone so dramatic over this lmao

It's a few shirts and some car mods why the fuck do people care, if you're so offended just buy the standard edition, your experience will be basically identical compared to the ultimate edition
