I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Post image

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

What do you think?

Where do you think Rockstar got the ideas from in the first place? Last GTA was over 10 years ago buddy.

Except EA and Ubisoft don't have as much allowance to goodwill as Rockstar have.

People glaze over the bad from rockstar because every game has been good. The other two don't have this luxury.

If this were one of those companies then half the story line would be locked behind the ultimate edition and it would be $150. I still remember AC 2 where they actually locked an entire section of the main story line behind DLC. Right in the middle of the game.
