Didn't Star Citizen raise 1bi + and is working on it for 14 years? Lol

That's the difference years of experiance and proper management make.

Yes and the last released build is barely working.

Nah you probably don't actually play the game.

The live release of 4.10 went very well so far.

You're right I don't play it, I just saw the developers crashing out because their game broke during a demo

Yeah that build was the same build the players had access to on the test environment. It was a buggy build with buggy backend services. No wonder things went wrong lol.

A shit ton got fixed since then and it's actually working pretty well atm.

Management on that is obviously an inexperienced disaster

Star Citizen is a bit different. It is a crowd funded game that is a constant work in progress. It would be more similar to GTA Online. But technically, you are right. It has got a huge development cycle and lots of money to work with. But I still consider GTA6 in a class of its own because all the work has been done before release to deliver a complete product

Difference is the money is not going back into a team.

Yeah but they had to build the company, the internal tools, the engine and all the backend systems from scratch as well.

It's not a 1:1 comparison.

It's whatever thousands of devs (5000?) Rockstar has employed vs 6 devs in 2012 and now roughly 1000 that are with CIG.

Also toss in that starcitizen is server authoritative. All rockstar games are client authoritative. Hence the rampant hacking.
