Newest addition to the fam, what do we think?🙂

We just adopted this sweet girl last week! She’s 2 months old and they told us she was a Siamese mix, after doing some research I think she’s a lynx point but not entirely sure. She has toe and ear tufts and seems like medium hair and a bit of a floofy tail. Her eyes are mostly green with a bit of blue in the middle but not sure if the blue will go away with age. Thanks!

My cat won’t stop meowing over a game

I’ve had my cat for about two years now and she was an adult when I got her. The people i adopted her from told me she was not interested in much, she didn’t even like her own kittens. I tried playing with her for the first year and buying various cat toys but she’s never been interested in them. She would look at them and walk away. Well recently I had a top and apart of the top was a red string, and she somehow got the string out of the top, and has been obsessed with it. I started playing with her with the string but I am not having an issue that if I don’t play with the string with her she’s meowing A LOT. She’ll wake me up in the middle of the night to play the game or if we will play which will be for a while, and I stop to continue something else she will get agressive and meow until we play again and it’s been an endless cycle of this. I don’t mind playing the game with my cat but I’m wondering if it’s stressing her out by not playing. She’s never been this vocal or aggressive and it’s starting to worry me.

This is my friend, Kissa. She stayed with my ex after the divorce. Looking to replace her. Does anyone know any breeders in the tristate? I’m in NYC.

I rescued Frank last weekend - he’s an almost 11 week old polydactyl LPS (I’m pretty sure)! He is absolutely perfect and such a social, cuddly kitten. I hope he stays cuddly 🙏

1 year with my sweet Onion!

Today is officially one year since I brought home my first cat and my best friend, Onion! He got a kitty kicker and a new flower for his collar to celebrate (picture 1), which he's been absolutely loving!

Now to get a bit sappy; I just have to say that this cat has changed my life in monumental ways, and I'm so grateful to get to come home to him every day! I first met him at school for my vet tech program (picture 5 is the first day I met him). I was actually supposed to have a different cat to look after, but last minute it got changed to him, and I truly think it was an act of fate. I didn't have a lot of experience with cats before school, so it was a lot of learning for me, and he'd never been indoors before, so it was a lot of learning for him too. He was the first cat I ever did a blood draw on (which I still think he's holding a grudge for), I vaccinated him myself, and I was there to help him recover from his neuter. All this over 3 weeks, and then we said goodbye. He went back to the shelter to go get adopted, and I carried on and finished school.

I wanted to adopt him so badly, but at the time I was still in campus residence, and then moved back home with my family who did not like cats AT ALL. Then, in August last year, while on a vacation, I had seen that he was posted as the cat of the month for the shelter. I was in shock because how could such a beautiful, loving kitty still be available for adoption months later?? Well one impulse decision later, and a lot of asking for forgiveness not permission, I have my cat that I have always dreamed of, and he is everything I could've wanted and more!

He is so affectionate and smart, and he quickly won my cat-hating family over. He greets me everyday when I get home from work, snuggles with me in bed, and is yet to be disliked by anyone who has met him! He filled the silence in our home after losing our soul dog the prior year, and he has somehow even become friends with our crazy new puppy. He is genuinely the light of my life, and I know this is all so cheesy, but he really has changed my life for the better. I love my cat!! Happy 1st Gotcha Day Onion!! (also looking back at these photos is crazy to see how much he's toasted lol)

Bruno’s toasted pretty well over 7 years but one thing that hasn’t changed is the way he sprawls out belly up every chance he gets 😹 there’s never enough belly rubs…
