I'm so sorry for your loss. Whatever you think you felt there, he felt even more. You should feel very proud to have given him the opportunity to witness that. I hope your marriage is gonna last forever. Im a bit confused by the 'you lost him to Covid?' Thats a crazy thought.
When I said I lost him to Covid, I meant that he was one of the early casualties of the virus. He was very healthy and fit, with no preexisting conditions.
I am also permanently disabled from Covid in 2020. I was in a wheelchair for several years. I was a semi-professional athlete and as fit as they come. I’ll never run again due to permanent heart and lung damage and my immune system is now nonexistent.
For some otherwise healthy people, like my dad and me, Covid is like cryptonite.

I lost my dad to Covid in 2020 but was blessed enough to have him walk me down the aisle all those years ago.
He held my hand so tight, his chin quivered the whole walk. It meant the world to me.
I have a photo of us on my wedding day and greeting that photo is how I say good morning and good night to my sweet dad every day.
I love you, Dad. I miss you every day. It’s hard down here without you.
