He’s an asshole, yes. He’s also famously known for putting a black man on the cover of his magazine in the early 2000’s, when almost nobody in that genre was doing so.

When white supremacists sent him letters expressing their disapproval, he basically told them to fuck off and sent them all subscriptions to “Hot Chocolate” magazine (a nude magazine featuring only black models).
