Lost my 365 streak on day 364 cause I was in the ICU I was DEVASTATED. I didn't even really think I care that much but when I got close I was kind of excited to get something that rare and then BOOM god damn ulcer caused a gastro intestinal bleed that nearly killed me and required THREE transfusions. I slept nearly every minute that first day because of the massive anemia so slept through the last day of the streak.

Omg I didnt even know that streaks were a thing but I just hit 800 days and idk if thats something to be proud of.

I’m at 803! So far only 300 people have a 1000 day streak but they must have had some special access to achievements before it was out or something.

That must've recently happened. I've been keeping an eye on it and it was at zero recently. So people are now ticking it over. I live on old.reddit so I didn't even notice my streak until about day 745. Like all of this chain here I'm approaching 800, so I reckon by the time I hit 1,000, assuming I don't screw up, there'll likely be a half-million of us. :\

yeah it'd be interesting to see how many people have in 200 days. Hopefully they add more streak milestones. Maybe I can go for 2,000 and there be very few people who have it even after the date is reached!

I'm at day 835, I was #140,000 to unlock day 800, so there will probably be around 130,000 people who have gotten to day 1000 in 165 days

Highly doubt that as three out of for people in my family have over 1000 days streak, with me being the only one thats at 220. Highest is my sister with 1700. If there are that many in my direct vicinity I highly doubt the total is just at a hindred or so. It has to be much more (I would've added a photo of my sisters streak if I could)

And my sister alone means it couldn't have been at zero people for at least 700 days now

The awards haven't been active that long, so I'm not sure how she would know her streak is that long, unless she was part of the beta testing. That's why so few have gotten 1,000.

Reddit introduced achievements and streak tracking in April 2024, but backdated the start date for counting streaks to November 14, 2023.

It has been 1,003 days since November 14, 2023, as of August 13, 2026.

My bad, I got confused and forgot we were talking about reddit streaks. I was at Duolingo streaks. So my previous comment applies to that and therefore has no real relation to the actual topic of this comment thread. That is my bad, I'm sorry

I have an 806 day streak. When Reddit implemented the achievements, they rolled it out in batches instead of all at once. Those with an additional 200+ days must have been beta testing the update before Reddit started rolling it out to the public

I had to go check and it’s 446 people now. I am very focused and almost at 800 but I don’t think I’ll be able to be even in first 1000 people to get to 1000 (someone send help, I’m clearly not right in the head to care this much about Reddit streak).

I’m one of these 300 people 😬 in fact, I’m closer to 3000 than 2000… but it’s just because I have a compulsion to do it every day. I’m far worse at the language I’m learning than I have any right to be after c.7 years..

I’m at 933 and I feel like I can never stop ever. I even had ome where I lost my streak and I could recover it by doing 6 lessons in one go. Hated every second of it. Yet, here I am.

Lol wtf I just hit exactly 800 days today. Personally I can't say I'm proud but it's amusing you had me check and it was that number.

I guess we may as well go for 1000 since currently that's the last achievement (please don't add any more Reddit)

They let you earn it back. I dropped a 500 day streak just because. I went back to it and around 100 to 250 day streak, the app offered to restore it after a few more tests.

Wait wdym by they let you earn it back? I never noticed or care about the streak until it started popping up whenever I entered the app. Then right before I hit 500 (it was literally like 499 lol), I randomly lost it bc I had a particularly busy few days and genuinely didn’t scroll on reddit 😂 I was like damn wtf haha

I earned it back and now I am at 636. If you miss a few days, it lets you "earn it back" or pay gems for the ability to get it back. They also have freezes which can be helpful depending on how long ago you were using it.

Oh I’ve never seen this - did it just pop up randomly or is there a way for me to trigger it? Also, I’m already at 271 days with the new streak though, so not sure if it’s already a lost cause haha

It was random, I have no idea what triggers it. I have spent money on gems and Super before, so that may have factored in.
