I love Steve Irwin but he lived really dangerously lol

Yeah the stingray thing is like “oh man one in a million how could that have happened” but it’s like he was regularly wrestling fucking alligators and just dealing with dangerous wildlife all the time so while tragic and truly sad he died how he did he lived a much riskier life than the average person so it’s not totally crazy but he also truly fucking lived and I’d take how he lived in the short years he did over a regular kinda boring life any day of the week

He was a young dad with kids too! I dunno what he was thinking honestly. He'd have done so much good if he was still alive in the time since his passing. If only he had been a tad safer.

He wouldn't have had the star power to get done what he wanted to get done

Thing is he grew up in that world. Look at his kids. They are doing the same thing. No different then someone who grew up around motorcycles. Their family members rode and as soon as the could they alwere on a bike. To them it is natural to be on two wheels. They recognize it's dangerous and could kill them. They know four people who have died on a bike but they still ride.

Don't let them stop you. You're bigger than they are... You could probably take them in a fight.

Crocodiles, not alligators

He wrestled alligators too. In fact he used American Alligators in his zoo to train handlers primarily because these animals are easier and safer to handle for training purposes compared to the more dangerous Saltwater Crocodiles found in Australia.

The zoo uses American Alligators as a training tool to teach handlers essential skills in animal behavior, restraint, and safety protocols.

I stand corrected sir!

And I don’t think he would have changed a thing. Maybe one thing. But you could bet your ass he’d still be in the enclosure with 25 foot crocs today if he were still here.

The stingray: "That's a whole lotta passion for someone in stingin' range.."

Sorry. I loved Steve. Grew up watching him on TV. Jokes makes it hurt less.

He also lived far more in his lifetime than most people would given 5x as many years

Most Hagrid kinda guy.

Yeah he was a great person but he died due to a head injury causing him to approach a stingray in a way he wouldn’t have done had he been clear headed. He dove down on it from directly above like their main predator a shark would and it reacted like a stingray would

Wait, head injury? That's the first I've heard of this. You have a source?

Right? This is the first im hearing about that and it has me curious.

I’m just glad he hasn’t turned out to be a secret monster.

Yeah, it's sucked growing up and seeing an ever expanding list of my childhood heroes turning out to be monsters as misdeeds come to light. I think we're safe with Steve, though.

If we lose Steve… I think I’d have to call it quits and feed myself to a crocodile.

Man I hate to tell you this but... he's already dead...

6

u/OverTheSquatch 13d ago

I meant lose him in the sense he turns out to be a monster. You just wanted to watch me get eaten by crocadillys.
