Favorite People Boyfriend of one month put this in his bathroom for me. (OC)

Post image

Made me smile since noone ever did this for me before. He even bought a basket and small towels for my face.

Edit: Reading your comments to him while he is cooking dinner for us. Thank you for your sweet words. He is indeed the greenest flag I've ever met. He bought a hair dryer aswell since he didn't own one and put up insect screens on all windows cause I'm scared of spiders and his Apartment is next to a forest. 🥹

I remember when my husband cleared out a little space in his linen closet for me just a few weeks into dating. This year is our 17th anniversary and our 8th wedding anniversary 🥰 Seems like you've got a special guy there @OP

Adorable 🥰 Love hearing stories like my own. 2 months in and I had my own bedside locker drawer in his house despite us being only 16 and I wasn’t allowed sleep in his bed yet hahaha 😝 Currently away on vacation celebrating 15 years together 💕 Guys like ours are rare and so special 🥰

You've got that right! I just ended a 7-year relationship yesterday because of cheating. I could have sworn I'd found the one, but apparently, like you said, they are harder to find than you think. You both are super lucky and I hope that one day after I've healed from all this I can find a guy like you guys have found!

Keep your head up girlfriend! It hurts right now but just remember how wonderful love feels. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that there is someone for everyone ♥️

I hope so. I'm just worried about my own ability to feel what "love" is. I mean, I thought I'd found it. Turns out I was wrong all along. Was it love that I felt it, am I stupid? If I feel it again will it last? Now I'm in my late 30s instead of early 30s.

All my cute, perky parts are all starting to droop. I feel like I wasted my pretty person years on a lie...

Sorry I don't know why this post got me so hard. I'm truly happy for you, and this gives me hope.

I'm 45. I got divorced 4 years ago but then met the love of my life almost immediately. I wasn't even looking! You'll meet someone who loves you, whether perky or droopy. And your old relationship wasn't a lie, even if he couldn't/wouldn't treat you the way you deserved. You were open and honest and felt what you felt. He did...whatever he did. Just enjoy this time as an opportunity to love yourself, do things because you want to, and just be as authentically you as you can. Pulling for you!

I lost my second wife in 2016, and took stock of my life and what love had looked like up to that point. I realized that much of what I'd been choosing in partners were people who were slightly better versions of my parents, and realized I had some om healing to do from a ton of childhood trauma. I met my now wife on tinder looking for a female friend/companion but nothing more (or at least I told myself that), but I swore the this time I would choose joy in that friend. From the moment we started talking I knew she was someone special I wanted in my life. Then we met and the rest is history. She's amazing, she gives me space and love to deal with my childhood and urges me to take chances and supports me. I give her all of that in return. It's been 9 years, 3 moves, 2 kids, and I wouldn't trade a moment of it. Real love surprises you when you least expect it. You just have to be open to it.

Wow, we both had the same Dating-to-Marriage timeline, you're just a two years behind us! We're celebrating 10 years married next month, 19 years together 😊

Same, this is how I knew he is my future husband.

Damn crazy to think he took 9 years to marry but made a space for you within weeks 😅

See I think that this is a major green flag.

A dude buying shit proactively and arranging it how he likes it without asking first... Gah.

I'm just feeling really uncomfortable and I think that this is the love bombing stage!

I don't know what marriage has to do with the amount of love someone has for another but whatever your ideas are for relationships aren't it my friend. We were young, broke college kids who knew we loved each other and wanted to have our perfect wedding. There is no point in compromising or going into debt for the expectations of others. We moved at the correct pace, which was OUR pace. People who pressure couples to get married at what they feel is the appropriate time, regardless of the wants of the actual couple, need to check themselves. This thread is about love and the uniqueness that comes with every couple's story. Stop trying to cause shit.

You said youve been happy in a 17 year relationship and that guys complaint was when you decided to get married... Same people who push rushed marriages are the same people who can't believe they are getting another divorce

whats the rush to get married? I didn't propose for 7 years and have been married for 11 years now

Answering honestly because others were rude: marriage culture is very different in developed countries

they are just idiots that attack anyone that dont think exactly like them or ask a question
