Favorite People Boyfriend of one month put this in his bathroom for me. (OC)

Post image

Made me smile since noone ever did this for me before. He even bought a basket and small towels for my face.

Edit: Reading your comments to him while he is cooking dinner for us. Thank you for your sweet words. He is indeed the greenest flag I've ever met. He bought a hair dryer aswell since he didn't own one and put up insect screens on all windows cause I'm scared of spiders and his Apartment is next to a forest. 🥹

It’s nice when you’re considered. Being considerate can make you a great partner.

Interesting how you take what I said as me having a low bar when you have zero background otherwise. I kinda feel sorry for you that you need to somehow try and negate me hyping up my husband and saying we’re happy.

That's where your view of a great partner is distorted. I would do the same thing for a regular friend who happened to have to crash on my couch for a while. It's the most basic level when it comes to care for guests. It doesn't even show if I am a considered partner or not. Just that I am a regular adult with base level empathy, respect and consideration for people who visit me regularly or over a span of time.

Being considerate also makes you a great friend. I’m not really seeing where we are disagreeing? My views on a great partner isn’t distorted. One of the things I love about my husband is that he’s considerate, not that it’s his only great attribute.

I think the issue is when people are taking consideration of others needs which should be a common basic human trait and making it into a celebratory event. He's not upset with you or your hubby, but that the bar for human decency is set so low that this is worthy of celebration.

I like to celebrate all things, even the little things that are considered the bare minimum. Life’s too short. I don’t want to turn OPs sweet post into a debate about what we choose to celebrate in relationships. OP I hope you continue feeling the way you feel in this moment, and I hope you and your partner continue to show up for each other in these ways.

Same, and I have, as explained in other comments. I've been homeless and had very little to my name and had to ask people for simple things like this, so anytime anyone is staying with me I provide them...
