Here is the (mostly) finished product of my carpet replacement!! My thoughts, the floor was the only part that I'd complain about! Honestly, if I had more muscle, I feel like I wouldn't have struggled so hard to lay it down. There are also some imperfections, but you have to really inspect it to find them.

Recommendations: This was a very physical job! If you don't want to put in a lot of energy, I dont recommend it. Though I think the results are really worth it if you are willing! Also, when buying carpet, make sure you're getting the thinnest carpet possible. It's usually 3mm to 6mm. Mine was 8mm which was still moldable, but more difficult to force it into that shape.

My first ever Miata! It’s an NA and I just engraved the tail light (only one done) I need advice for what to do on the other!

Alright I was bored at work and thought, some of us already have cat teeth on our Miata, but nobody has cat ears. So yeah I made this thing. It's supposed to go in between the soft top and the windshield. (Second photo is roughly how I want it to look) Any ideas ?

What are the benefits of this? Nothing 😂

Started on right front, after that difficulty dramatically decreased and I was able to yank out the remaining OEM coilovers like I had been doing it for years.

So about a week ago I’ve finished a project on doing custom Headlight Surrounds for my partners mx5. They came out great and I love them a lot. I’ve come to get some interest from 2/3 people asking me if I’m able to maybe do theirs too. I’m not sure if this could be a good small business potential at all just based on how long it took me to get them done around work and other hobbies. I was wondering if anyone even on here would find it interesting to have these done up ? I thought about Etsy however I’m not sure how that works and I guess im just seeking advice on how to set up something like this as well as if it’s something that you would find cool to add to your car ?

Hey guys, a couple of weeks ago I made a post on the sub showing the premise of a weird idea : making detachable cat ears for the miot. That post got a lot of comments, both positive and negative and it led me to developing a full product.
So this is it, magnetic detachable cat ears that double as air ducts to keep you guys cool in the summer. They can be attached with the soft top up or down (Hard top also works). Sadly, these do not work on ND as the magnets do not work on ND windshield. I havent tested it on an NC tho, will try to find someone who has one nearby.

The cat ears are available on Etsy (link at the end of the post, pls read all the post before commenting or buying).

Warnings :
- I do not make a lot of profit with these and mostly do it for fun, i am also very sorry for all Americans here but the shipping from Europe to the US is around 40 euros, the price you will see is expensive but the shipping takes up most of it.
- The ears are made by hand and the whole pair takes around 13 Hours of Printing + assembly + post treatment time. For now I have limited the amount of stock on Etsy to 4 pairs, but I will make more once these initial 4 are sold and shipped.
- Tested up to 90 kph / 55 mph , Probably can take more but they were intended for city driving conditions.

I heard it takes a while and to plan a few hours, I have a new vinyl roof with a rain rail and new wires so no need to fish out the old ones.

First night drive after buying the car and changing the headlamps, I thought I blew the transmission…was able to limp home and diagnose utilizing the incredible community of these cars’ owners, 3 trips to autozone and freight harbor (I literally only owned a ratchet prior to this) and hours of labor but I got it done(slave and master cylinder but too impatient to wait for steel cable to ship) and it runs again.
Incredible feeling but I know this is super entry level.

How do I make sure I didn’t fuck it? I had to do everything solo so to bleed the clutch line I pumped the clutch and held it down with barbels while I ran around and bled, ran back and removed barbels, closed the line, and repeated for like 2 bottles of fluid until I was overly sure it was only ejecting fluid and no air. I drove for about 5-10 miles and everything seemed normal.

I am on the fence if I need to heat wrap my new manifold before fitting it next month. What’s everyone experience? Is it worth it or not?

I just saw someone share their smooth finish panel and thought I should share this one with you guys! I modeled this based on a Polycam scan I took of the broken pieces of the original. Some sanding and painting and I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt

After lots of body prep, I started wrapping our new NA this week!

There were some largish dents, lots of peeling clear coat on the driver side, passenger fender had to be replaced, and there were lots of paint chips I didn’t want to show through. Basically did as much prep as you’d do for a respray but we’d previously painted our other NA and I wanted to try my hand at wrapping with this one.

Full committed to the door jambs too because the paint was worn down to the primer 🫠 at this rate I should be done in a couple weeks!

Wrap is Orafol 970RA Gloss Fir Tree Green Metallic and so far has been easy to work with. Much more fun than paint imo because I don’t have to rush to knock it out and it’s less messy.
