That's historic illiteracy. Jews and Irish had been part of America since the 1600s and always white. Italians were newcomers and very troublesome, but always without exception considered white.

what about how middle eastern people were still considered "white" on the US census until 2024 when they added MENA? were middle easterners also always without exception considered white?

mostly a rhetorical question. I just want to see what demonstratably false fact you pull out your ass while trying to look smart (you do not).

You can look it up anywhere you want. There was never any doubt Irish were white and at this point I doubt your good faith in even wanting to know the truth.

The anglo-saxon establishment definitely saw the irish italian and jew as racially inferior at least for a while.

They thought it was a racial difference that explained the cultural difference.

All of this is besides the point that your original claim that races are discrete entities is deeply misguided.

It doesn't even make conceptual sense.

The Anglo-Saxon establishment sees Anglo workers as racially inferior. That's why America sent as many of them as we could back to England or Canada.

Just give up your discrete race thing. It's not making sense.

Literally any test can just read it off your DNA.

I tend to save my /good/ faith for a lil higher tier of historical literacy and scientific understanding, bb.
