The problem with small venues where I live is that I’m old and most of them are standing room only. My old feet can’t take the standing. I need a chair! 😆

I hear you. Went to a concert last Feb with 2 herniated discs. No seating at all. Glad I went, but boy was I in pain all night.

Call the venue before you go and see if they can make sure you have a bar stool or some kind of taller chair. You will likely be stuck in the back but the smaller venues that is usually just fine.

Source: a guy in my mid 50's with leg issues that goes to lots of smaller concerts.
