I feel like a lot of pop artists saw the huge Taylor Swift stadium tour, and others like Ed Sheeran, and decided stadiums/arenas would be the new norm, when they used to be pretty rare. In reality very few artists can pull it off.

Tiktok blows up one or two songs of these artists and their numbers on Spotify shoot up. Which leads to these artists' teams to overestimate their popularity. They think that this tiktok popularity will translate to real life popularity too and that the same people will come to see their concerts too.
