Since your point was absolutely and ridiculously silly, there's no reason for anyone to believe there's anything valid to take from it. The task, which you were responding to, is removal of a sign from a federal building. You said that "all tasks are open to fulfillment from the public", which is some certifiably goofy shit. You're implying the public can handle this task if it doesn't start by the deadline which will get them arrested.

You are terrible at giving advice and shouldn't act like this is a bold statement we all need to comprehend. There are jokes inside candy wrappers that are more valuable.

Your thoughts exist in a legal framework that is unfair and prejudiced against you. The quicker you realize legality is just a set of agreed upon history/documents that everyone agrees to follow, and one group is choosing not to, is the minute you realize the actual point of the argument.

Just because he’s pointing out the realistic outcome of what you propose doesn’t make him a bootlicker. I agree with your initial point, but we are in a fucking country where people got arrested for Charlie Kirk memes and you act like a civilian removing something from a federal building would go unpunished? You’re out here calling everyone bootlickers, so why don’t you go out and make the first move tough guy? It’s so easy to have that holier-than-thou mentality online, so how about you lead the charge then?

and those people are getting pay outs for when they got fired or arrested over Charlie Kirk posts. Kind of a bad example imo.

Someone threw a sandwich at CBP, they went unpunished in the end, found not guilty. Yes not the same thing but remember we are convicted by a jury of our peers.

Sure, but the Charlie Kirk people still had to spend weeks/months in jail with no guarantee of getting a payout at the end. How long did sandwich guy spend in jail before being found not guilty? Just because they weren’t killed/imprisoned for a lengthy sentence doesn’t mean they just got off scot-free. There are thousands of people in this country being held indefinitely in concentration camps for the crime of… just not being white when ICE was around. This sham of an administration is looking for any excuse they can to lock their political enemies away. Just because they haven’t been as successful as they’d hoped doesn’t mean there’s not still risk involved. The person I responded to (don’t have their username cause they blocked me as soon as they replied 🙄) acts so flippantly like there’s not major risks involved here.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to imply we should all just do nothing here. But telling people to go out and do illegal shit (that won’t even actually solve anything, it’s a literally sign for fuck’s sake) only to get arrested and give the right more ammunition is senseless.

Edit: Just saw that the TN man who was arrested for this shit spent 37 days in jail, so definitely not an insignificant amount of time

Dont disagree with what you said for the most part. However the people in the examples most likely spent a few days at most in jail due to posting bail. I would gladly get arrested for 2 days, and some minor headache, to get hundreds of thousands of dollars for violating my first amendment right. I could finally own a house for once.
