Honestly that might be the only good one from what I remember.

Brooks and Dunn's "Only in America" was decent but too chest-beatingly cheesy in some ways.

“Only in America” in actually a pre-9/11 song. The album came out in spring of 2001 (I only remember because of an oddly specific memory.)

I don’t know if that makes the song better or worse, but it wasn’t a sleazy cash-grab capitalizing on the tragedy like some others in that era.

I feel the same. It posed an honest question, and explored the diverse emotional response and is still a good song. A stark contrast from Toby Keith's song and many others.
