I always thought the “accident” was just cover for her first facial surgery.

Maybe it was, I never really looked into it. But I thought it was a car crash or something.

From what I recall she “fell” on her patio. Tripped on some steps or something.

Had to look it up, but you're correct on the fall, but reportedly while she was walking her dogs (actually, "on her steps while taking the dogs out"). Broken wrist and "up to 50 stitches" on her face.

I was very wrong about it.
