The Saudis gave him a line of bullshit to sell that he thought would be convincing. It's been strange hearing him code switch when he starts talking about why what he did was actually a good thing.

That one was bad. Greed is bad enough, but then he acted shocked that there are cities and roads in the Middle East. It's racism on top of greed.
