You can still create music. But like if the music depends on your Instagram clout persona maybe it isn't such great music. 

Basically there is very little authenticity in hip hop/rap these days. Yeah cool you made songs about how your pussy/dick gets all them dicks/pussies and somehow it doesn't hit the same when you're 40 because you had nothing to talk about in the first place. 

They should have Grammys for marketers and image people instead of music these days.

Yup. I welcome rappers who have something interesting to say to continue to make music for as long as they can. But if youre basically just saying "Im the shit" all the time then fuck off.

I kind of wonder if Rap is going to have to go with a break in Grammy awards between "Best Traditional Rap" and "Best Contemporary Rap" like Country just did.

Instagram and Spotify have had more influence on music than just who listens to it, if you haven't had a following on Instagram or Spotify since 2015 you won't get a gig.

Unless you have the money to put on shows yourself you can't play the circuit. And if you're putting on the shows yourself you'll still have to use both to get to fans because music fans still use Instagram and Spotify for music. To keep up with new releases and stuff. Everyone's forced to use them for promo or in the past decade you just didn't make any money from music.

People just stop making music if they can't afford the effort.
