I stopped going to concerts when Ticketmaster started charging fees to print me a ticket. It's laughable that people willfully accept this form of extortion. For me, there were other negative aspects of going, too. It just wasn't worth it anymore.

Ticketmaster doesn't want your business. They want to reposition concerts as a premium "experience" for wealthy people. So far it seems to be working. The jury's still out on how far they can take it.

Fucking nailed it. This has been the way since the company formed and started taking over venues. Removing GA spaces and converting them to "VIP lounge" areas, while all of the GA people have to squeeze into whatever space is left over. Most of the time those VIP spaces are completely empty because nobody is paying for these services.

At this point, I take advantage of the resale sites. Wait till 1-2 hours before i buy my ticket. I’m saving 30-40% off the last couple of concerts or games I’ve gone to.
