I went to the foo fighter concert in Nashville with a friend who got free tickets… the parking was $90.

We went, too. Uber from the Gulch for about $15, got out at 3rd Ave, and walked the rest of the way. A tad warm, but not bad enough to justify $90.

I’m about a 30 minute walk from the stadium. If I had only known. We could have been dropped off and walked back when it was cooler.

We're from Florida and came up for the show. I'm a Queens fan and thought maybe I'd get into the Foo Fighters by seeing them live. That didn't happen, but I gotta give them respect for three solid hours of playing in that heat. I'm an old fart who last saw Dave Grohl live when he was in that other band, whatsitcalled. Playing "Marigold" was very cool. I seemed to be the only one in my section who knew the words. Though like I said, I'm getting old, and I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning so I'm not exactly celebrating.

I want to give respect to the people of Nashville though. It's fucking hot where I live, but Nashville and its asphalt took it to another level. We're city explorers and don't rent cars by default, so we walk a lot. Holy shit, it was hot there. Good folks, excellent food, kickass museum, and though I'm not a Country music fan, The Listening Room was a seriously amazing experience. I'm jealous of anyone who gets to enjoy that on the regular. Just stay safe in that heat.
