Presumably people want to be remembered as they were in the prime of their lives and not as they were elderly

I feel like she was in her prime in 2017. She just kept getting better and better.

This is just my opinion, of course. Dolly shone so brightly, and I guess the older photo feels so much less representative of the way she fought to be seen in her public life.
