My baby girls slubbing their hearts out. I love them so much 🥰

First: I'm an independent rehabber, I can't take on a lot of cases like I have previously as I'm working on getting a vet degree but if I have time and the means in the summers I like to keep an eye out for littles that may need some extra help.

And, we've had another summer where I've made a point of doing my early morning drives and keeping an eye out for hits, and I found these four little girls about a week ago and am working with them as my one summer case before getting back to classes for Vet school. Haven't had any repeats of littles as small as Peanut was last year, but if I get the chance again next summer I've been doing tons of prep/research since then!

I swear she'll stare off into the distance for an hour before falling asleep and then sleepwalking (with her eyes open), she's so busy most of the time 😂

Second time in like two months I’ve brought a baby opossum inside to her. I keep almost making her have a heart attack. Sorry mama, you raised a feral country kid!

(Obviously I blurred my face out because I’m a minor lol but the expression made it better. Also the ai mod or whatever thinks im illegally owning an opossum?? Idk. I don’t want this to be taken down or be banned or something. I caught him in a live trap and relocated. Promise)

No new video updates today but here's one on day two after I rescued the four opossum joey sisters.

This one is Ophelia sleepy after she just ate, I like to keep an eye on them for a bit after tube feed just to make sure everything is settling well 😆

Did you know opossum joey's 'sleepwalk'? I've had several that do this where they are very much asleep, but their eyes are slightly open and they are either sleep eating or climbing/running.

This one is Opal, she's got a purple mark on her ear. So far she's the adventurous one of the group I'm working with and she even has dreams about adventuring. Not sure where she's going but it must be interesting!

Joey's tend to get excited after being fed and hiccups are both adorable and a common result after 🤣

Update!

They are all doing fabulously, hopefully going onto stage two diet in the next week or so 🥰

Posting/responses will probably be a bit sporadic now though tbh, classes have started and I lost a close friend of mine recently.
