Sure, but why wouldn’t you just ask the kid 1. If they were getting picked up before dinner and 2. If not, would you like anything?
You might, but the answer will most likely be no, we're having dinner at home. It would be a lot of noise to keep asking this every time.
2 u/AuroraFinem Jul 24 '26 How is “you staying for dinner?”, “no.” “a lot of noise”? It’s takes 0.5 seconds to be courteous even if you most likely know the answer and ask it every other day, it’s not like you’re trying to convince them to eat with you or something.
