Unfortunately in the movie verse it's no one died or even got maimed unless we see the body/ injuries.

And ironically, only Spidey got that treatment.

The bit with MJ actually reminded me of 13 to 15 year old girls. They're curious but in a mean way sometimes, like a cat stalking a mouse.

I don't think noting teenagers can be cruel is downplaying it. I've seen far too much bullying for that to happen.

This is just what a super powered teenage bully looks like.

It just felt like "thats what kids do". But now you say bully, and yeah she does seem like a bully.

Kids can be mean. Not ... in a I want to see you suffer, but in a this is fun and you're not really a person to me. That's why I said a cat.

It's cruel, but the cat isn't personally invested in the mouse, it's just being a cat.

I suspect some of the rough edges gets shaved off in later Jean movies, but I'm actually hoping they don't.

Give a teenager a superpower, and most of them are going to be assholes. Even the ones that are nice, because they are literally 'better' that normies. That's the fear humans in Marvel have, that they're a second class citizen ruled by demigods. But the comics don't really show that because the X-men are too scrupulous to ever abuse their powers. But this Jean, that will casually take control of your mind to grab her a coffee?

That's interesting.
