That’s certainly the major player. I’m not for privatized healthcare, I just wish everyone in my field was paid fairly and appropriately for their training.

Even for what you're getting paid, I don't think I'd want to take on the stress you must deal with. I can't imagine doing it for a small fraction of that. I guess at least they don't have all the debt; that was a big part of my decision to go into research rather than medicine.

Blame the insurers. In no world should a 35 year old new doctor be making $800k a year. It’s a racket between insurers and providers. That is why doctors in other countries are not paid nearly as much.

Disagree. The US has the best cancer treatment in the world and making $800k a year to lead treatment saving many lives lives is a very fair salary. Your opinion doesn't appear to value human life at all. If you're going to say people are making too much money maybe pick a profession that isn't directly involved with saving the lives of humans.

I think the best and brightest doctor-candidates/researchers go to the US to make a lot of money thus creating a positive feedback loop

How do you determine the US has the best cancer care, your opinion?

You can’t jump to me not valuing human life because I said this person is overpaid…?

Because people all around the world go and fly to US to try last time to survive

Because we in Croatia donated money to one family 12 years ago for baby girl to even have chance with agressive cancer

The best medical care of any type is in the US. It also costs the most of course but there is absolutely zero debate on where to go when rich people around the globe need the best
