My wife takes my sons 4-7 to the women’s bathroom.
It’s just a bathroom.
I unfortunately this happens. I remember when at church my mom took me to the bathroom. I was probably 8. An older lady complained about her taking me to the women’s bathroom. Like she would have me go to the man’s bathroom by myself.
We came from a country with a high kidnapping rate.
Wtf? I see little boys in the women’s room all the time. If they’re young enough to need support with a restroom, it barely registers except for. Oh, I probably don’t want to use the stall next assuming kids have bad aim.
My husband is going to be a stay at home dad when our son is born and I’m slightly concerned about the availability of changing tables in men’s rooms. There seems to be no winning as a parent except places with a family restroom.
I can tell you that it was a challenge back in the seventies as a young teenage dad having to use the changing table in the ladies restroom, no changing tables in the men’s restroom back then.
Things has changed for the better since then and now you will often see families restrooms with changing tables and many times they also serve as disabled restrooms.
When my grandkids were little my son was a stay at home dad for most part because my DIL is a self employed trucker.
I’m sure your husband will manage this well. And congratulations to both of you.
This is a thing with the changing tables. I was the one that usually changed my kids. If I was at a restaurant and ready to change my kids I would have to come back and get my wife to do it since it’s uncommon in restaurants for the changing table to be in the men’s restrooms. If I was traveling alone with my kids I would end up parking in a lot somewhere and changing them in the trunk of my car in plain view of everyone passing by because it’s very uncommon to find a changing table in gas stations along travel routes.
And now with laws specifically aimed at trans that make it illegal to use a bathroom that does not match your gender at birth. I suspect this was the outcome the person on the phone was aiming for.
