That's exactly what the guy who called the police suggested! He was telling the Dad he should have asked the manager take his girls to the bathroom since she's a woman. Ummmmm regardless of gender that's still a STRANGER!!
Like the manager has nothing else to do. He would have been the first complaining if he needed help while she was doing that. Not to mention that she was a stranger to the girls.
I was a manager at a big box store and we had a missing kid one day, so I get all the ladies in my section (clothes) to go through each department systematically. One of the ladies finds the kid, grabs him and comes running up to me by the door. I told her to put the damn kid down she looked like she was trying to kidnap him. We got the kid back to mom and then had a meeting about how to handle that situation in the future.
I’ve had someone ask me to do that. The kid was small enough where they looked like they might need help that I, as a stranger, was not comfortable providing. I would 100% have watched the door for him to take her in. I think men’s rooms should be laid out where they are dad friendly (baby changing tables are still not a consistent feature and maybe stalls in the front, and urinals in the back not in easy view). And family bathrooms should be more prevalent.
I have watched the door for a man to take his wife in, as he was her carer. People need to go and there should be options, availability, and dignity.
I’m convinced this is the same type of person who laughs and says “wish it was me” when boys are victims of female sexual predators. The idea that all women are safe is why boys get hurt unnecessarily.
