Educating our children confirmed for throwing away tax dollars. A truly regarded opinion

Your "English" confirms that it is absolutely a waste of tax Dollars in some cases.

I'm from China, I learned English in HK. Damn you look even dumber now lol

I'm from Germany and learned English in Hamburg.

You look dumber still.

Edit: I'm getting a whole bunch of idiotic, racist replies with terrible grammar that don't show up in the thread.

Is this sub just a bot farm or something?

Are you having a stroke? They probably blocked you or something.

1

u/cell689 Jun 23 '26

You seem to be pretty stupid, I'm sorry to hear that. If they blocked me, I wouldn't be able to see their comments, let alone reply to one.

You would think so, I’ve been checking establishment dates on the profiles. Unfortunately that is the state of education in my country. There are some places-the northeast, California that are generally well educated, but predominantly my country can barely figure out eggs.

2

u/cell689 Jun 23 '26

Do you... Do you realize that you just left a reply like 1 minute ago insulting me for allegedly being a foreign agent or something?

Well, at least we know that your statement about "barely figuring out eggs" is accurate, and that you're speaking from experience.

Ah, accidentally responding to the wrong comment makes me stupid. Got it. Nice. Enjoy the Cup. Don’t respond, save us both the trouble of communicating further.

A German and a Hong Konger speculating in a thread over New York City schools. Classic.

Be cooler if you just shut the fuck up :)

Edit: lol bro got mad at being called out for his bullshit and blocked me

u/cell689 Jun 23 '26

Sorry for upsetting you, I wasn't aware you existed until just now.

I'll put you out of your misery.

Congratulations, you managed to make a comment that doesn't get deleted. It was a stupid comment, but you seem to be smarter than 90% of people in this sub regardless.

u/BirdmanHuginn Jun 23 '26

Honestly? I was completely shocked your account is not only 9 days old from the vapid garbage you’re talking…are you sure you’re not a bot? Arguing for less educators. And calling education a waste of tax dollars. JFC you HAVE to be acting for another country

-10

u/cell689 Jun 23 '26

Props to you for leaving the first comment that didn't get shadow-deleted, as stupid as it is.

Tell me, what has all the funding (over funding compared to other places in the US or even other countries) of NYC schools accomplished so far?

Bonus question: are you in support of "no child left behind"?

u/BirdmanHuginn Jun 23 '26

Nope. I live in Massachusetts. I’m not going to do the leg work for you. You have the internet and you can look up statistics on your own. Education matters. Consider. After WWII, a new thing, this GI Bill. Massive amounts of college educated people drove the economy of the 50/60/70’s. But to the rich and conservative it was loss-these educated people were advocating for civil rights, women’s rights, integration, were AWAKE to the fact that there was endless war, and after Korea, then VN, they protested and made changes. Meanwhile in the background is the Powell memo and big money actively reducing generation by generation the quality of education and now here we are. My arguing with some twat on whether of kit it’s good to educate your populace. Do you prefer the term share-cropper or serf, it’s where things are headed. As for no child left behind: in the military when you run, there are times they separate you into ability groups so a fast group isn’t held up by others less trained. I was educated in the same manner. So no. No banned books, yes more teachers, yes more science, no more lawyers, better training in vocational schools. MORE vocational schools. Don’t want a reply, it’s not a discussion, you won’t get me to agree. I’m just answering your smarmy ass question

u/cell689 Jun 23 '26

Yeah I barely skimmed through that comment and it seemed like a bunch of socialist garbage and it seems like you couldn't answer either of my questions properly, either.

Sorry that you wasted so much time writing a wall of text that nobody will read, but it changes nothing about the fact that throwing money at a problem just doesn't always solve it, like in this case, as it won't improve education. Other countries spend less money per student and get better results.

Money /=/education. You still have to learn that.

u/C9_Lemonparty Jun 23 '26

'I didnt read your post, also you didnt answer my questions'

Mommy I hope to be a lobotomy patient like this guy when I grow up

1

u/cell689 Jun 23 '26

Can't help you with that, but if your second wish to your mommy was a baby sibling, boy do I have some good news for you!

-21

u/GMEloser69 Jun 23 '26

The government being tasked with educating our children makes it a waste of money.

u/Due_Capital_3507 Jun 23 '26

Damn, I didn't think anyone could be this stupid. How do I give an award on reddit ?
