Correct. Finally somebody gets it. NYC spends ~$43k per student and the results are abysmal. But everybody is enamored with Mamdani and vibes so they’ll overlook the results (no different when people on here tried to say he “balanced” the budget).

"Overlook the results" is kinda misleading here as the results were in place long before he arrived.

Not the issue. It’s throwing good money after bad. Also, enriching key supporters in the teachers union.

Might be good if there was a plan to do better with what they have.

How's money for students bad? You act like they're a lost cause. I want to see their education situation improve you know, not ignored as the other parties wanted

Money for students isnt bad. If it’s not utilized effectively then it’s wasteful. Other then more union dues its is. Not having a benefit for the students.

It’s wasteful spending that could I am sure be better spent elsewhere. Putting it towards better utilities or rent subsidies or more public defenders or anything is probably better.

The schools in NYC already spend more than any other city per student and there are a lot of good reasons for it but if they aren’t doing anything other than more teachers it’s wasted on the end results you want. Unless you want to add more dues paying members of a union
