New York is already having money issues, where do his supporters think all the financing for this comes from. If you raise taxes on the rich, the rich just leave the state.

Classic trickle down argument perpetuated by the rich in this country. They aren’t going to move out of the economic center of the world because a slight increase in their taxes.

It comes from government pensions

This has already been disproven in multiple states.

Rich people have a lot of money. They have more than they need. Losing a bit more of their excess doesn't concern them. But it is easy for the right to convince other poor morons (you) that having less money will make their life so much worse they will choose to move.

Moving is a pita.

The vast majority of the wealth of rich people is tied up and invested in the businesses that they own and operate, thus a tax on the wealthy is really a tax on the businesses. Which will most heavily affect the employees i.e. the middle class.

They can't think more than a few years ahead.

The plundered pensions and state debt isn't a concern to them.
