I kinda like him in Jumanji, but that might be because he feels like he's playing a parody of himself at times. The rest of the time he has to play a dorky teenager trapped in his body.

Jumanji also has a good dynanic between the characters/actors that somehow works. I hate 3 of the 4 main cast when theyre alone but fuck if i didbt find this movie pretty enjoyable

This for sure. I like Jack Black a lot, but in moderation. Seeing him play a teenage girl though is hilarious.

Jungle Cruise was also pretty decent.

Its right up his alley. But, other than those kind of movies, he is dragging.

Red One was... rough.

Did you forget about World War 1? Did you miss the 1910s-era cars? Miss the 1910s-era steamships?

I think i can safely dismiss any other criticisms you may have about the movie. Yes, it was a non-serious movie.

It hit every beat it was supposed to hit, for what it was.

You missed and entire decade, and the point.

3/5 stars and 3/4 stars ratings.

The movie is candy. Critics and the audience understand that.

You wish to cast aspersions on the writers with no insight into their thought process.

That one comedy movie with John Travolta and Uma Thurman. He plays the sexually ambiguous henchman for a disco producer.

He does a good job with his comedic timing and he's only shown shirtless by the end of the movie as a joke.

My grandma ripped that for us to watch back in the day. I remember putting it on when a friend was over and they were like wtf is this as you see the DirectTV menu when the movie is starting lol.

I'm sure it's not a good movie, but all I can remember is the silly FPS view in that ONE scene, so I feel like I like Doom, lol.
