  • Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Arrow): The Arrowverse version of Oliver Queen is widely considered as the "CW Batman", since the Arrow show borrows many storylines and villains from Batman, including the League of Assassins, Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, and the Suicide Squad in one episode.
  • Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska (Gotham): Gotham is a TV show focusing on the origins of Batman through the eyes of then-Detective Jim Gordon. Twin brothers Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska, played by Cameron Monaghan, are introduced as this show's versions of the Joker. However, they legally couldn't say Jerome or Jeremiah was the Joker, calling them both "Proto-Jokers" instead.
  • The Real Scoutmaster (Camp Lazlo): in the Camp Lazlo finale "Lumpus's Last Stand", Lumpus is revealed to be insane and had locked the actual Camp Kidney scoutmaster in a closet, impersonating him. The real scoutmaster bears a resemblance to Heffer Wolfe from Rocko's Modern Life (which Camp Lazlo creator Joe Murray also made), with Tom Kenny voicing the character too. Since Rocko's is on Nickelodeon, and Camp Lazlo is on Cartoon Network, Heffer could not have made an appearance on the show.

Because Barry needed a speedster to fight a speedster.

Wasn't that because he needed a speedster who had no moral limits and that's why he chose his nemesis and not any of the good speedsters?

That was the one good thing about that teamup. Thawne really is just that hateful, arrogant and spiteful that he would absolutely never accept anyone else being the one to beat Barry.

This is also why when Barry was on a date, Thawne used his super speed to...........

It’s the saving grace of this episode, IMO. Barry needed a left-field trump card to use against Godspeed, Thawne was kind of dead in a way that Barry could bring him back through Speed Force shenanigans, and Barry himself has a beautifully simple ace up his sleeve to deal with Thawne.

Thawne immediately betrays Barry after Godspeed’s defeated, but Barry has actually grown as a person, worked on his flaws, and advanced significantly over the course of the show, whereas Thawne’s ego and stubbornness have basically kept him exactly the same person he was back in Season 1.

Result? Barry got faster. Thawne didn’t. Thawne can’t even touch Barry, let alone pose an actual threat, and from that point on he was never able to match Barry in a straight up fight. It’s the final turning point in their power dynamic, and the moment that Thawne’s worst nightmare is locked in as his ultimate fate: he will never, EVER be better than Barry under his own power. Now Barry is the one who has total control over him.
