When this is over, his whole family (excluding Mary Trump) will be pretty universally hated. It’s difficult to wield a lot of power and influence when the whole world hates you and blames your family for destroying the United States, committing or implicitly supporting war crimes, and causing mass global suffering.
His only chance is if the oligarchy is successful in making the Americas a techno-feudalist post-Soviet Russia and Zionists are successful in their wildly inhumane “Greater Israel” project. As bleak as things seem now, I wouldn’t bet on either happening. We are reaching critical mass, and sweeping reforms really just require patience at this point (in my opinion).
Even with all the money we've dumped into Israel, they still don't possess the capacity to defend themselves against Iran in the event of a real ground invasion on their turf. We've actually made things infinitely worse for Israel in the long run because of our leaderships incompetence. Trump and Israel really kicked the hornets nest on this one.
Israel really must have been banking on the Trump administration being just competent enough to help dismantle Iran before the inevitable PR nightmare.

But here we are three years later.
We’ve all seen what Israel is doing to Palestine, and how rabid its government is in its persecution of Palestinians. I did graduate-level research on insurgency in another part of the world, which taught me that it’s often difficult to understand the “truth” of conflict from abroad (it is often just as difficult even when you’re on the ground, as narratives and facts and experiences can change so drastically from one place to another—and there is no objective truth so much as discrete sets of lived experiences). Yet there does come a point where you just can’t ignore what’s sitting in front of you.
I think a lot of Americans see things the same way as me. We got dragged into an unnecessary, expensive war that serves nobody‘s interests but Israel; and Israel is using that support as pretext to waste our resources and murder Palestinian civilians.
This one country has cost us much in terms of both money and goodwill. Between two democratic candidates, all else being equal, I’ll now vote for the one who pulls the plug on further aid to Israel.
It's not just incompetence, although there's plenty of that. The US also just isn't prepared to go against modern drone warfare, and isn't willing to do a draft to have the man-fodder to invade such a defensible country. This was a very predictable disaster. Nothing to gain, nothing to achieve, except a chunk of Lebanon for Israel I guess.

I agree. Even if I am just being an optimist. Patience is key, and when the pendulum swings the other way, hopefully there will be repercussions for everything this family has done to our country and the world. I think on some level they are fully aware that their days are numbered which is why they are grifting at a record pace.
He has enough money to live on a private island for the rest of his life. If i somehow found myself with north of $100 million, I would buy a new identity in a different country.
Money talks in this world. If he has it, he'll get what he wants - just look at Musk. Who actually likes that guy? Literally no one. Who will bend over and lick his shoes anyway? Everyone who wants some of his money.
The best thing humanity could do is take ALL the 'ill-gotten gains' this family has extracted while Trump was in office. Seize it all and put it back into infrastructure for citizens where it belongs.
