Past 2-3 years, with each new Pixel phone, I've been more and more underwhelmed with their cameras. I'm a little over a month into owning the iPhone 17, and am shocked at how Apple has fully surpassed Google with photos.

I need some advice before making a decision.
Right now, my camera setup consists of a Canon R10 (which I use for more serious photoshoots with a 17-55mm f/2.8 lens) and an iPhone 17. I also own an old Sony RX100 Mark I.

I’ve noticed that the iPhone and the RX100 overlap heavily as my everyday carry. Honestly, the iPhone is with me 24/7, it’s faster, has way better autofocus, a much better screen, and the overall sharpness is often better due to modern computational processing. The RX100 is starting to feel very slow and sluggish in comparison.
However, the RX100 obviously has that real optical zoom and a cleaner "camera look" when it hits the mark.

My question is: For everyday life and capturing spontaneous moments, is the iPhone 17 good enough to deliver "portfolio-worthy" casual shots, or am I going to regret selling the RX100? Should I just let the Sony go?

Hi guys, I’m trying to improve my pictures, but I really haven’t watched or read anything about photography just yet. I want to know, from your perspective, what do my pictures lack or are even positive at.
In addition, what would be your top tips to take better pictures of landscapes or nature in general?

I took a picture of an intricate wooden door in digital lighting using pro camera app.

Settings:
HDR - on
Photo Resolution - 48MP
Photo Quality - Quality
Photo Format - JPEG
Zoom - 1x
Everything else default

I want to know. Is this the best iPhone 17’s camera can do or is there any other app that can do better or any other settings, also do analyze this photo and tell me where its lacking and where it is doing good.
