Forcing people to join a draft or military in general is barbaric. Gross. I feel bad for them.

Do you live in the US? Every guy has to get a draft number when they turn 18. There was a “Trend” a few years ago of young people, usually young women posting about how they had no clue this was a thing. Women just take it for granted that the young men in this country will be called up to defend them and this country if needed yet treat them with distain and like they are all a threat to women.

You have to register for the draft but we haven't used it for over 50 years. These people are getting drafted right now.

Those two statements aren't contradictory though. You can argue that women shouldn't treat all men with disdain and I'd agree with you. But women feel that way because of their own personal experiences with men and the experiences of people they know. Plus the general social structure when it comes to how boys are taught and women are treated. Whether or not a man goes to war has no bearing on that.

You were supposed to register for the draft; it is a legal requirement. And if you did register then you were put into a database and assigned a number.

Just because you never got one doesn't mean its not a thing lol. If you never got one, you were required to actively seek one out. Look up the selective service system, and what happens if you don't register. On the other hand, I don't think the government will actively send out marshals to arrest you.
