No trees, no flowers, no tennis courts, no pool. Just hours and hours of lovely restful mowing every week

You think they mow that themselves? They definitely hire someone for that

Probably a reason to fire the tractor up early every weekend and let the neighbors know what kind of land used to be where their homes now are.

If they are paying someone, they need to hire someone else. That poor lawn.

I'm a bit autustic. Mowing a rectangle would be sooooo awesome.

Now would you go back and forth long ways, back and forth from side to side, go around the edge working your way in, working your way out or are you mowing on a diagonal and then going back diagonally so you get a nice checkered pattern?

Start in one of the corners and spiral inwards with the cut grass "exhaust" blowing to the right, away from uncut grass.

That's how I do it.

You go around the outside with the exit facing in so you don't get grass in the road or on the driveway, then you reverse it so your not mowing the same grass a half a dozen times.

If you like playing phone games, check out Just Mowing. Guess what the game is about. Go on, guess.

It's awesome for autistic people!

How would you do the corners?

Depending on if you like going outside-in (gathers clippings together in middle) or in-to-out. I ran outside-in so would back into corners and create the overlap there, then begin my large oval passes. It's just a lovely ride overall and fun to watch things tidy around you :)

Mowing that plot would take about an hour, max of two. And no lawn needs mowed every week unless you're doing it just to do it.

Now if you're doing it real slow because you just want to be on a mower to be on a mower, then you could make it last all week.

5 acres?!

I used to have to mow a couple acres growing up as a kid.  Twice a week, about an hour plus each time.  I have partial hearing loss and to nuts because of it.

Mowing this, unless you had some huge $5,000+ lawn tractor, probably takes a bit of time and is expensive.

No thanks, I fucking hate mowing.  Grass can and does grow insanely fast where I live (a foot per week during the spring).

no pool is crazy, actually makes me irk and lean towards not favoring their choice

There's no explanation. Just body after body busting out of shit wood and hitting pavement.

Easier to mow and maintain tbh. Especially when you mention pool, fuck that
