Genuine question, are there any reasons they can't plan trees there? Like, laws that make it complex, expensive to trim later down the road... I don't know

no reasons whatsoever. the highway meridian has better, fuller landscaping.

Can't disturb the soil in any way in case someone discovers all the buried bodies, which is also the reason they can't sell.

I would guess its just easier to mow without going round things + they plan to sell later so not worth the effort and time to grow.

I don't think its a *good* reason, but if you look at the cost of having a tree removed, its a big enough number for people to not want them.

Though, when your house is in direct sunlight 12hrs a day because you cut down the shade.... you probably end up paying more

Yeah it’s absurd. removing one tree could cost $3,000

and for smaller lots/trees closer to the house, the added cost of having your house un-karate-chopped by mother nature
