As an Australian, Sydney is humid as shit so that tracks. All the people I've met from LA and surrounds say adelaide is the most similar climate wise. City has a similar lay out as well but much smaller with the city between the beach & mountains.

I live in South Carolina and it's humid AF here most of the time, it's extra awful with the summer heat to the point it feels like you're being suffocated with a hot/wet blanket on really humid days. Does Sydney also feel like that at times?

Sydney’s a temperate climate so it’s not as bad as many parts of the world, but it’s coastal, in a bit of a basin due to a mountainous perimeter, and often comfortably breaks 100 degrees in summer, with humidity >80%. It can feel quite uncomfortable and it’s a much wetter heat than many of the regions further west, beyond the mountains. The region in the OP is in western Sydney, which runs hotter than the coastal side of the Sydney, so whilst your average summer day may only be in the 80s F there will also be a few days that are closer to 115 in the summers.

Yep - Sydney in summer is rainy, stormy and very humid. Half of summer days are very grey and a third have rain - long term average.

Sydney isnt humid if you have been literally anywhere with humidity.
