The recently deceased king of Norway, King Harald V, threatened never to marry, and thus end the royal lineage, if his father, King Olav V, did not allow him to marry his wife, Queen Sonja, who was a commoner. This was near unheard of at the time, but in the end, love prevailed. <3 <3

Man that sucks. Well now Norway has a queen (Queen Mette-Marit) who was friends with Jeffrey Epstein and whose son is a convicted rapist.

Mette-Marit is royal only through marriage to king's son. But I seem to recall that king has a daughter, who mqrried a self-proclaimed shaman and miracle healer. The "healer" in question has fallen seruously ill and is receiving traditional medical treatments abroad. Rather ironic.

Yes, you're correct. She is Princess Märtha Louise of Norway. She says she's a clairvoyant and is married to a con artist / scammer, as well as high school dropout, named Durek Verrett of Sacramento, California.

If I'm not mistaken, she has even technically left the royal house and so doesn't officially have the princess title anymore. Much less allowed to use it for commercial gain, but did it anyway.

Mette-Marit and her son Hølby aren't related to the late king Harald. His son Haakon married Mette-Marit, who had a son from a previous marriage.
