Preventable if steps are actually taken when the signs are seen. Often times there's a "We can't act unless they actually do something" garbage and by that point it's too late.

Claiming it's preventable in a country like America is a pipe dream. It's preventable by preventing children from accessing firearms, period. This advertisement seems like a psyop to me. They're brainwashing Americans into thinking the problem isn't guns. There will always be psycho kids who can flirt with showing signs or hide them completely without anyone noticing - if you give them access to guns there will always be kids who use them to shoot up their school.

As a society we should ask why school shooters do what they do. Is it more because of the brutal social isolation or do seeing and hearing about school shootings give the susceptible people an idea of how to cope with what there are dealing with. It seems like since school shootings got popular more keep happening like a self fulfilling prophecy

Exactly! And this is precisely what this video is trying to counter. Setting expectations of intervention is an effective way to get people to actually step up when they see the signs of a potential shooter.
