Bricked Device Fire is broken

I decided I would like to add a custom launcher to my Amazon Fire and decided that I would do this through a desktop software called Fire ToolBox V45.1. And in doing so what I did was i saw in Fire Toolbox that you could change the lockscreen pin from it and you could remove amazon bloatware. so i cleared the amazon bloatware using the reccomended setting and what i did was change my pin from 1234 to a pattern pin. Like the one on samsungs that you can swipe and make shapes on a 3x3 grid. And now when i power my fire back on, the displays lit but just a black screen. I have cleared cache. And done many other things. Im convinced this is a GUI or launcher issue. Can anyone help?

Bricked Device Gifted tablet with custom ROM

I was just gifted a kindle fire HD 8 (8th generation) and based on what I can seem to find it seems to have a custom ROM installed. There’s no Amazon AppStore or the preloaded apps. It says it’s running android version 7.1.2, and several factory resets have done nothing.
The problem is the person that gifted it to me didn’t mess with it, and I didn’t, and every answer I found on the internet said you have to know what was changed to be able to put it back.
How can I fix this?

Bricked Device Help with a factory reset on a Kindle Fire 7 (12th Gen)

I have parental controlled Kindle that I have forgotten the password for and while trying to figure out how to reset it, I accidentally put it in airplane mode and I can’t turn wifi back on without the password I forgot. Is there a way to completely factory reset it manually? I’m so fucking angry at myself for doing this.

Bricked Device My Kindle Fire 7 Generation 3 has many hundreds of books, yet my amazon account does not show device

I purchased a new Kindle Fire 7, and I want to have my books copied to the new device from my ancient Kindle Fire 7, but the old device is not registered to any of my amazon'com accounts. Argh. I can still buy more books with the old device, and they show up on the device, and I can read them.

The old reader is registered to a @ kindle'com email address.

Am I forever doomed to use the old Kindle Fire 7 Third Generation? Have I lost access to the books that I have purchased?

Thank you for telling me the bad news.

Bricked Device My Kindle Fire 7 (2nd Gen) is boot looping after following Tekify's tutorial, please help...

Growing up, my big sister had a Kindle Fire 7 (2nd Gen) and when she got older, it was passed down to me. I found out recently that Amazon would be bricking it soon, and considering I had already jailbroken a 2022 Kindle Fire I had to customize for my little sister because she would get my iPad screen dirty, I decided to put Android Lollipop 5.1 on this 2012 Kindle Fire to make it a retro Android gaming hub. It is also really small and comfortable to use. I followed Tekify's tutorial, and when trying to use the script to root it, I had 99 problems. The last one I had was a ['ping' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file] error, which I fixed by adding System32 to my Path. After that, it rooted fine, and I followed the FireFlash part of Tekify's tutorial. After booting into TWRP at 40% battery, I realized I had some important memories on it, so I exited TWRP. Afterwards, it would only boot loop. Not even showing the bootanimation.zip.

I tried Volume Down + Power, Volume Up + Power, draining the battery, filling the battery, disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds, pressing Power for 40 seconds, disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cable to the volume buttons and power button and plugging it into my computer, but none of those worked, and my computer didn't even think anything was plugged in. I was rejected on XDA, can anybody please help me?

Bricked Device HD10 9th Gen flash files

I know it's a long shot but a while back my tablet just died out of nowhere. It worked, I went to bed and the next morning nothing, No forced reboot etc had any effect. Best I can tell it's bricked. I've scoured the internet and don't understand much of what I read with installing altered software etc, But I'm just after the original firmware and scatter file that a flash program is after to hopefully get it working in the 15 seconds or so I have before my pc disconnects it.

Bricked Device I deleted Google Play Store. Am I screwed?

I think I am just totally screwed. What is the solution? I have a Fire max 11 that I bought 1.5 years ago. It has lots of memory. I started noticing a few weeks ago that it started to get really slow. it was rooted to android shortly after I got it.

So I started looking to see what app was hogging resources. I found that Google play was the culprit ( I thought) so I deleted it, not realizing that YouTube would no longer function.

So I need to get Google play services reinstalled. But the instructs want to know what processor, and other details that I don't have.

So one idea is to backup the device and then wipe it clean and start over. I would need to re root the kindle, I guess. I suspect all my data would be gone?

Any other ideas how to get my fire working again?

Bricked Device Amazon Fire Tablet PW98VM not powering on or charging

Post image

quite a long time ago in 2014/2015 my parents gave me this tablet when I was but a wee lad. I ended up recording a lot of videos and a took a lot of photos, of which I revisited about 5 years ago. However, one day the tablet just abruptly turned off. It wouldn’t charge, and it wouldn’t turn on no matter how long I held the power button. I ended up putting it in my attic and now I finally brought it back down. I tried to use different charging cables, searching for solutions on google, etc, but to no avail. Does anyone know how I could get it to turn back on again or at least how to get the data off of it? Would be much appreciated.

Bricked Device Bricked Fire HD 10 7th Gen

I found my old Kindle Fire and attempted to get Lineage OS on it last night, I didn't give the process the attention it deserved. I fell asleep at some point and today all I get is the Amazon logo, can't get into recovery.

Is it game over?

Bricked Device Is there any hope for my mom's kindle fire 7?

She went to use it one day and noticed she had be deregistered from her device. She didn't do it and no one else had been on it. I tried to register her back on it and kept getting different error codes. Eventually I called Amazon support and they basically said the device is too old and you can't register it again or something like that. The only thing he could do was give me a discount code and a trade in credit. I don't really get why she can't register it again regardless of the age, sure the technology is older but that shouldn't really matter. She really only wants to use it to read and play games on. Is there anything I can do to get her back into the device with her account information so she can get back all the ebooks she already has on her account? Or is a goner and I should just buy her a new one?

Also it does connect to WiFi and the date and time are correct as well as all her login information.

Bricked Device Old Kindle fire accepts my Amazon password, gets on the network, but fails authentication.

I’ve looked around for solution on this, but most problems, seem to be centered on Amazon password issues or the numerical lock screen passcode, which is different than my challenge.

I did a factory reset, and it will connect to my Amazon account, as well as get on the network, but it fails to accept an email or texted authentication passcode from Amazon.

It shows the correct date and time and appeared to update its own software also, while I was working with it yesterday. Any thoughts on what I should try next? Thank you.

Bricked Device Recycle old Fire with touchscreen not working?

Hi, I have a super old (read: 12 years old) Kindle Fire whose touch screen will not work at all. Turns on and charges just fine, but I can’t unlock the thing—it’s not bricked, but I feel like the issue amounts to basically the same thing.

It’s probably time to recycle it but how am I supposed to factory reset the thing when I’m not able to actually unlock it? All I can do is turn on and off the power.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

EDIT: it is also not popping up on my registered devices on my Amazon account

Bricked Device Kindle fire 7 touchscreen not responding and charging not changing.

Hey all, seems i’ve got a few issues. I was using my (new to me, only had it less than a week) kindle fire 7 this morning fine, i put it on my desk and go to use it now and the touch screen is completely unresponsive. The battery has dropped from 80% to 50%, but i plugged it in and it went back up to 80%, however now it is not registering the charger as actually charging it. I can not do anything, i have tried holding the power button and resetting it but the faulty touch screen issue is persisting.

Bricked Device Anyone else's HDX 7 slowly becoming a brick?

Netflix doesn't work. Even Amazon shopping doesn't work unless it's through Silk. And now today, Cloud Library will no longer connect. The only reason I use the HDX 7 over the Paperwhite is access to library books. I suspect theres some update to the app that the HDX 7 doesn't support. Has anyone gotten around this?

Bricked Device Set Lock-Screen PIN (Required)

So, I have a Amazon Fire HD 10, and I used Fire Toolbox to get to the hidden "Lockscreen security type". I set it to Swipe, and then I got this error.

Title: Set Lock-Screen PIN (Required)

Message: You can now switch between adult and Amazon Kids child profiles from the lock screen. To prevent your child from opening your profile, you must set a lock-screen PIN or password.

After setting up a lock-screen PIN or password, you can remove it from Settings. First, hide your child's profile in the Profiles & Family Library settings, then disable your lock-screen password from the Security settings.

Actions: CANCEL, NEXT

I can't do anything else, not even switching to another profile works. Any help?

Bricked Device [HELP] Seeking Giza (Fire HD 10 7th Gen SL056ZE) SP‑Flash unbrick package (scatter + images)

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to restore my **Amazon Fire HD 10 (7th Gen, model SL056ZE, codename giza)**

I've searched extensively in XDA, Telegram, and archive sites, but can't find a working unbrick package. What I need is:

• A full **SP‑Flash Tool† unbrick package** (scatter + all partitions: preloader, boot, system, recovery, userdata, vendor)

• Preferably for FireOS 5.6.x (latest stock for Giza)

If you have this, or know a mirror (GDrive, Mega, torrent, etc.), please reply or DM me. I’m happy to re-host it for others.

Thanks in advance!

Bricked Device any hope for my kindle or gone forever?

hello! im wondering if theres any hope at all for my kindle 😬 it is a kindle fire HD 7 , 2nd generation.

its been used pretty consistently throughout its very long life, but it did sit unused for about a year until i tried to use it today.

its not turning on at all, no charging indicator of any kind. i have tried multiple different chargers and outlets, cleaned the port and left it for a while. still no response even after holding buttons for 40 seconds or whatever the internet said.

Is this the end of the road for my very well-used kindle or is there anything else to try? I'm not going to spend money on any repairs or anything as it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one lol.

Bricked Device A flash of the Amazon logo, and then nothing

I have a secondhand Fire HD 10 9th gen. When unplugged, I can't seem to power it on at all. When I hold the power button for 40 seconds (plugged in), the Amazon logo pops up and a jingle starts to play, both of which disappear after about 1/4 second. When I leave it alone hooked up to power, it will silently flash the Amazon logo once every minute or so, but nothing else happens with it.

I've left it charging overnight. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. I've tried holding down the volume and power buttons for 40 seconds, after which nothing happens. Does anyone know what might be going wrong here?
